Re: Manage RFLink while on Domoticz

Ok, I got some random success by using RealTerm on windows, into a ser2net pipe to the /dev/ttyACM. I also used this to *try* and sniff the original RFLINK upload tool. I was able to send short messages (10;PING), but longer messages and longer replies broke up. I suspect that: - Commands have to be...

Re: Manage RFLink while on Domoticz

I mean, it seems obvious to be device /dev/ttyACM0 And when I connect to it (used cu, screen and minicom) I once out of the blue got a 10;PONG; so it is working, I clearly intercepted a ping response from domoticz I tried both with and without disabling RFLINK hardware in domoticz. But whatever comm...

Manage RFLink while on Domoticz

Hello one of my Somfy plugs has lost connection with RFLink. I suspect due to a bad antenna it missed a few commands, and is now past the allowed window of rolling codes. I had that before. just set the rolling code for that device in RFLink back with 50, 100, 150, or similar, and with one of them i...

Manually set date and time for testing

So I am building a ESPEasy timer, very simple evening and morning light on. And I believe I do have it working nicely (see below) But testing is a bit hard. I have to either wait till sunset/sunrise rolls around (so 2 test per day) or modify the code to temporary read %sunset+2h51% to match the next...

Broadlink SP3 SP3S not a ESP device

Hi all not sure where to store this information. Getting more into the whole control stuff, I ordered a "wifi smart socket" with power measurement from AliExpress, believing these are all somehow esp based. Not being able to find any info it it before ordering meant its probably just anoth...

Re: Switch input in Toggle mode (non-pushbutton)

I did this using the nightly build from one of the days of last weekend. (weekend of 2018-11-03) I want to repeat my assessment that I do suspect ESP Easy is the most powerful of the 3 firmwares. Just that the fact it cannot do the "simple" stuff easily will hold it back from adoption by n...

Re: Switch input in Toggle mode (non-pushbutton)

I am a $1 patreon now. Not much, I know, but the growing number of patreon based project means I have to cut the pie small. So yesterday I played a lot with your script and made a lot of variants, including variables (dummy device) I learned the following about ESP Easy, which means its concept is a...

Re: Switch input in Toggle mode (non-pushbutton)

Ok, thanks I did in fact already suspected I could achieve this in Rules. In fact, the existence of rules is why I am trying ESP Easy instead of Tasmota. But that is for some more complex switches I would like. Not for a simple light switch. Still, it is a good rule example, as I am learning this ma...

Switch input in Toggle mode (non-pushbutton)

Apologies if asked before. I did search, but new to this Sonoff and ESP Easy stuff, so maybe not with the right terminology. It seems such an obvious function, I am thinking I am completely overlooking the setting. Got a Shelly1 working with last nights build, seems to work from a hardware point of ...

Re: 433MHz repeater

That would be an option, but I missed the manual where the RFlink can be used as repeater.

It would already require an ethernet shield of course, but even if I invest in all of those 4 devices with cases, how can the RFlink pair be configured as repeater?

433MHz repeater

Hi Is a device like this repeater of any use? They are all over the place in the various china outlets, but I wonder how generic/specific they are. It mentions "Support encoding: PT2240/1.5M, PT2262/1.2M/2.2M/3.3M/4.7M " and when looking up PT2240 gives a series of RF chips, which I presum...

RFlink console through RasPi

Hi I am trying to find a method to directly link a console to the RFlink, while it is connected to the Rasberry Pi. The reason for this is when troubleshooting I do not need to unhook the RFlink and move it to the PC. And thus I can leave it in the utility closet The obvious method is SSH into the R...
