hi, I am trying to get upyeasy on a esp32. after installing python, first hurdler taken, I had to install pyserial and finally got it done, but it took me some time to get there. next hurdle: I want to start Firmware install on esp32 by: esptool.py --port COM4 write_flash --baud 460800 --compress 0x...

Hi Thx for the input! I think i have found my approach. I will use an esp32 in order to have sufficient cpu power as well as gpios and adcs for at least 4 cells in parallel. Maybe i use an ADC wit i2c as well es i2c gpio. Esp32 will be used to switch mosfets and measure voltage and current on a 5 or...

Hi guays, I really llok forward to using upyeasy but haven‘t had a chance to try it yet. Are there more than 12 tasks available in standard upyeasy, as this would make things more easy for me doing more complex projects... Especially when thinking of more powerfull hardware like the esp32. I have ch...

Hi, in my house i am using Merten Argus Basic smoke detectors, which I want to become smart. They look good and Pollin has them for EUR 15,-/per 3 PCs. I bought them for 18,- each some years ago  I have found out, that they use an IC called A5366CLWT. datasheet is here https://www.digikey.at/pr...

Re: water leak sensor

Nearly any small N-FET should work (BS270, BSS138, 2N7000, 2N7002.....) Just one point: These FETs are somewhat sensitive to electrostatic discharge. So a serial resistor between gate and sensor and a small ceramic capacitor 10nF .. 47nF between gate and ground gives at least some protection agains...

Re: water leak sensor

I'd like to challenge another approach. why not use the bs170 to power up the esp. this saves standby power at all. bs170 doesn't consume any power at all, when there is no water detected, only in case of high water gain of bs170 is errected and esp is powered up and sends a message on boot. I have ...

Turn off i2c sensor when esp is in deep sleep

Hi all,

Has anyone developed a solution to run a esp8266 with espeasy and an i2c sensor, where the sensor is switched of, when esp is in deep sleep. When sensor is not turned off, it will empty the battery.

Any ideas or plans ho to realize that.

Best regards
