extended battery status

#1 Post by data » 10 Mar 2017, 22:45

Hi, is somebody here using one of the following wireless sensors with RFLink:
Oregon-THGR918N
Huger-STR918
Oregon WGR918

If so, do you get a detailed battery status besides just low or high?

From what I learned, there are four bits reserved for a more detailed battery level indicator
from 0 to 9, 0 being full/100% and 9 indicating empty/10% or less.

On the other side, all the source I found for decoding the oregon protocol only
check for 0x00 or 0x0c as low/high indicator. So how have you implemented this
in RFLink?

Background:
I built a few own temp/hum sensors based on the THGR918N protocol with an attiny
and would like to have my battery voltage reported in domoticz. However, no matter
what value I transmit, I only get either a low/high reading.

Or can someone recommend an other protocol which is equally well documented?

Kind Regards,

dk
