Not seing signal from MiLight remote

#1 Post by quack3d » 18 Apr 2017, 20:01

So I attached the NRF24L01 to the RFLink, ran RFLink Loader V1.10 on the right serial port and enabled MiLight. Starting Serial Port Logging now says:

20;00;Nodo RadioFrequencyLink - RFLink Gateway V1.1 - R46;
20;01;MiLight=ON;
20;02;setGPIO=ON;
10;version;
20;03;VER=1.1;REV=46;BUILD=0c;
10;status;
20;04;STATUS;setRF433=ON;setNodoNRF=OFF;setMilight=ON;setLivingColors=OFF;setAnsluta=OFF;setGPIO=ON;setBLE=OFF;setMysensors=OFF;

However, if I click any button on my MiLight remote, nothing is logged in RFLink Loader. What could be wrong?

I have the FUT027 version of MiLight.

I connected the NRF24L01 like this:

Do I have to do anything else except for enabling it in RFLink Loader like I said in previous post?

This is the NRF24L01 I bought: http://www.volumerate.com/product/222913

Perhaps it came broken. Any way I can test?

Try a standard NRF24L01.
Right now you have a PA version (high power output) which is more demanding on the VCC..

Crap, ok.

Will trying different USB ports matter?

EDIT: Tried at least another port without success. Have ordered a 'low' power NRF24L01 now.

Got a standard NRF24L01 today. No change. No lights blinking on the RFLink when pressing buttons on my remote and nothing is logged in RFLink Loader V1.10. Perhaps FUT027 is not supported?

Could the high power version have fried the circuits or something? Is there something I can measure with a multimeter?

I have ordered a fut038 to see if that works better, but it will probably take a month or two before I get it.

Actually, I think I have a bad clone like you suggest. I got this one and nowhere does it say Mi Light: https://www.banggood.com/LED-Controller ... ds=myorder

Guess I didn't pay attention when ordering. :D
