Arduino not detected via USB

I am really amazed by RFLink capabilities and its long list of supported hardware. I have built RFLink gateway with 433 mhz kit and Arduino Mega from Nodo shop. After integration to Domoticz and successful pairing with few Milight bulbs something went wrong. Arduino is not detected anymore when I connect it to my unRaid server or a windows machine, although board leds are on. Have just ordered another chinese Mega but would like to fix the original one before Christmas.
Can you please help me out. Being a total newbie to Arduino's I don't really know how to diagnose the problem. Is it possible that ATmega16u2 is corrupted? Are there any tricks to easily recover it? Any advice would be highly appreciated.
