Thingspeak with multi sensors: message delay

#1 Post by serpa » 31 May 2017, 08:15

Hi,
I have three sensors: 2 BME280 pressure, temperature and humidity sensor and 1 HTU21D temeprature and humidity. I can read all of them since they use different I2C addresses (the BME280 can be configured with two different addresses).
I am using Thingspeak as data repository. However, there is a know issue with it if updates are more frequent that every 15 secs.
Normally this can be solved by setting message delay to 150000 ms in tools advanced.
However, current version is now limited to 10000 ms and this blocks the updates.
What is the reason for this limitation? Can it be removed.

thanks

Sergio

if i remember it right someone posted an updated thingspeak plugin to workaround this issue, but can't find it...

it had internal caching as far as i remembered...

must be somewhere on the forum or on github...
