hi,
I am using mega 2.0 V12 and I have connected GPIO16 and RST in order to have deep sleep available. When I check deep sleep in the frontend with 120s delay, it doesn't work. Same issue with V11...
are there any known issues with espeasy?
can I check somehow, whether the esp accepts the new setting? or is there a countdown visible...
regards

deep sleep not working

Re: deep sleep not working
Okay, sorry to be blunt, but "Doesn't work" is not very descriptive, nor is there enough information to understand what you have or have not done.
Try posting a better description of the problem, screenshot of the config page and Log page to show what it is doing.
Without more information it is impossible to tell if you didn't tic the "Sleep Mode" enable box or if there is something else going on.
Hopefully just the tic box!

A lot of informations about the deep sleep mode are here:karl222 wrote: ↑30 Sep 2017, 15:12 hi,

Re: deep sleep not working
Hi there,
I am experiencing issues with deep sleep again. Yesterday I was trying to build a water leak sensor where the esp should be started via signal on RST pin. But it doesn‘t go into deep sleep, just once and I couldn‘t get it happen twice.
I have googled a lot and I am not sure what the right wiring setup is to get the esp into deep sleep. Of course I have read the espeasy wiki and tried the setup described there.
I am using a pure ESP12F with ESPEASY 2.0_dev12. I have checked deep sleep, set delay to 0 and have enabled deep sleep on failure as well.
Wiring:
VCC and GND wiring is clear
GPIO15 to GND, otherwise it does not start properly.
Some descriptions wire VCC to the EN Pin, some not. I tried both but no success
In order to start ESP from deep sleep I put GND to RST, but this isn‘t necessary, because I dont‘t get it to deep sleep
Can anyone help me on that. How can I get a log file out of espeasy which shows what is going on...
Many thanks
Karl

Re: deep sleep not working
What about GPIO16?
Set 'Web Log Level' to 2 under 'Tools -> Advanced'
Set 'Web Log Level' to 2 under 'Tools -> Advanced'
Re: deep sleep not working
as I don't want to wake up the esp via delay I thought it is not necessary to wire GPIO16 to RST... and tataaaa, it works
by the way web log Level is already set to 2 by default...
thanks
