Sonoff S20 not working with EspEasy_Mega?
Hi to all
I have a sonoff S20 power switch with R148 Firmware installed. According to the main info there is a Flash Size:4096 kB
I have installed the 1024 version with no problem. Then I've tried to install the esp_easy_mega-20180320 and the esp_easy_v2.0-20180316 in both version, 1024 and 4096
When I connect the sonoff to the outlet, the wifi is staring to loop. I can see it for several seconds then is gone also ping is not working. Could it be my sonoff is a fake one and it is not possible to flash it with a higher version?
I do the flashing by using the USB port and I always got the massage flashing was successfully.
Thanks for any help
Hans

did you flash with a dout build?
I've only been able to flash dout builds to my sonoff devices.

N00b to the world of ESPEasy, but I've been programming since the days of punch cards and paper tape

Thanks for your answer. What is a dout build? Could you give me more information about it?
Edit: found the information. No I never used this version

And if you keep having issues with WiFi, please use build 20180316.
Re: Sonoff S20 not working with EspEasy_Mega?
Thanks for all the information.
I've tried build 20180316 in version: 1024_dout, esp8266_1024, esp8285_1024 non of them worked.
I went back to build 20180206 version: esp8266_1024 worked
Then I tried a firmware update to build 20180209 version: esp8166_1024 failed
I flashed then the device with this build and it worked.
Could it be this is a size problem from build?

Hi Hans,
I also had troubles with latest builds. The build v2.0-20180304b works stable on my S20, ESP-12E, and WROOM-02.
Also build R147 works solid, however, I failed to use R148.

Did you made a firmware update or did you flashed the 304b build? The R148 worked always perfect for me

Flashed. I flash all of them, old fashioned, not relying on OTA
