OLED SSD1306 with SH1106 Driver

#1 Post by Sasch600xt » 17 Dec 2018, 20:55

Hello all :)

today i made first tests with my OLED display.

What confuses me is the first line in the display where it shows unit name and wifi ssid, time and antenna symbol at the right corner.

Can i somehow switch that off or at least costumize ?

If i use the OLED SSD1306 plugin i have a white bar on the right, and 2 lines are missing at the beginning of every row.
So this shows me i probably have the SH1106 Driver.

So i took the SSD1306/SH1106 plugin.
But now i have a first line automaticly with all that information from above which i dont want.

Thanks for help :)

Use the basic OLED plugin and not the framed one.

that´s what i did try before and i have a white bar at the right over the whole height of the display and i am mising 2 pixel lines over all rows at the left.

So that brought me to:

So the basic OLED plugin is not working for me.

i will,

but first i´ll do some tests with my new displays which arrive in 2 days.

because this display here was in a 10 bucks "all in one" box and we all know how good the conponents are there :)

So let´s see how the new ones are working.
They should have the regular SSD1306 driver.

Merry X-MAS all :)
