ESP Easy 2.0.0 dev12 often stuck (no web)

#1 Post by adibacco » 04 Nov 2017, 08:56

I installed ESP Easy on three different sonoff. At the beginning they started to work fine but after few hours of uptime if I try to connect my browser to the devices I get "The site can't be reached" most of the times. I tried also with R120 and the problem is even worse. With R120 I also had to reflash the devices that were completely lost.
WiFi RSSI is typically between -74 and -70 dBm, can be this a problem?

Try to ping it prior to HTTP connect.
ESP Easy Flasher [flash tool and wifi setup at flash time]
ESP Easy Webdumper [easy screendumping of your units]
ESP Easy Netscan [find units]

You can also try to log the system value rssi and see if it shows some fluctuation in reception.

What Grovkillen is suggesting is also very good for diagnostics. If the module is not reacting to ping, it is an indication the connection is lost. But also it may be the sensor has crashed.
Does the sensor react on hardware triggers (pushing buttons)

I have found that a ping request has woken the web interface.
