esp going into AP mode instead of STA reconnecting

#1 Post by riker1 » 18 Dec 2018, 09:33

Hi

having trouble with some ESP.

They do not reconnect to WIFI but go into AP mode.

How can I avoid this or create a rule that the only go to Station Mode and try reconnecing or rebooting?

Thanks Thomas

What wifi coverage do they have?

Hi

between

Ch:8 (-64dBm) WPA2/PSK
and
Ch:8 (-73dBm) WPA2/PSK
up to

Ch:10 (-83dBm) WPA2/PSK

Having some routers with same ssid

strange is, it was working fine for some time and now I have a lot of reconnects....

is there an event to reboot if AP mode is started?

No we don't have an event for that. But we should!

Please open a new issue on GitHub. Suggested event name: WiFi#APmodeEnabled
ESP Easy Flasher [flash tool and wifi setup at flash time]
ESP Easy Webdumper [easy screendumping of your units]
ESP Easy Netscan [find units]

looks like it is working,
but hard to test because after the event appears there is not way to control it....

do you have a good idea of an tst setup?

- Tested it with serial connection and it is working
