RFlink 433 + 868 mhz

#1 Post by maxtox » 06 Oct 2016, 15:57

Hi,

is there a possibility to use 433 AND 868 together on one MEGA?

I am asking, because couldn't find the source code, so i could "maybe" change it to support both together...

Thank you in advance!

Guessing the same since they have documenation on the site about you can use different mhz hardware allready.

Sooo im guessing you right now can build another RFlink gateway with a 868mhz radio?

Would be awsome to be able to control my cars heater :)

Hi,

I'll also be pleased with information about combining both 868/433Mhz on a singleboard.

Thanks in advance

I don't see any line in the changelog regarding this ?
Is the current version of rflink already capable to handle both mhz on one mega ?

Any news on this ?

Also wondering about the wiring, if you connect both transceivers to one mega, how does the rflink know to which pin to send if both transceivers are connected to one mega ?
This page only explains 1 transceiver connected to the mega at one time.

For sending the code has to be altered so you can select which transmitter to use.
But for receiving it would be possible to use the code as it is. I'm thinking of connecting the data pins of two receivers to one Mega pin through Schottky diodes. They have a low voltage drop and acts as an or-gate which passes the data without disturbing each other.

This does not work correctly. In the absence of a signal, the receiver receives noise. With the combination of "or" two receivers interfere with each other.
