SOLVED! MP3 plugin & YX5300

#1 Post by mrwee » 03 Jun 2018, 09:05

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has https://www.letscontrolit.com/wiki/index.php/MP3_player working? I've tried it on 'mega-20180524', connected RX on the YX5300 to TX on a D1 mini. Plugin configured to use GPIO-1 (D10), serial port disabled under 'Advanced'. SD card is FAT32 formatted with a couple of 1.mp3, 2.mp3, 3.mp3 files on it. I'm running the HTTP command shown in the example, but nothing happens :(.

Any ideas are very welcome!

I've used it many times. I got both units no problem. Haven't used it with latest releases though.

Just to minimize troubleshooting, which version do you have it working on? (If I'm lucky, perhaps you also have a .bin file?)

This version is operational:
Firmware
Build 20100 - Mega (core 2_3_0)
GIT version mega-20180119
Plugins 70 [Normal] [Testing]

Anyhow ... you need the to use the "test" bin.
Did you?

Yes, I did use the 'test' version and the plugin was available. But nothing happened when I executed the command. I'll see if I can compile the version you're referring to, unless I'm so lucky that you have a .bin file? ;)

I might be blind, but I can't find that plugin in the 'mega-20180119' TEST BIN. Trying to compile it myself, throws tons of errors...

Thanks for your help guys. With the aid of verified versions, I discovered that the SD card was incompatible with the YX5300 player. I also found the LED on the player, which should light up when ready. Mine didn't :( .
Switching to another SD card made everything work :).
