8266 mega *1125, ds18b20 fails after update

#1 Post by pwassink » 27 Nov 2020, 09:15

platform Esp8266
release ESP_Easy_mega_20201125_normal_ESP8266_4M1M
icm Domoticz

After updating yesterday of some test-nodes, all the Ds18B20 based sensors stopped working on all used versions of esp8266, seems a glitch in the last actions included in this update ?

Anyone has same eperiences ?

There has been some 'major maintenance' (=improvements) on the Dallas 1-wire plugins, so it may be needed to re-configure these using the web interface. (I haven't upgraded my ds18b20 nodes to the final release yet, but early beta's are working fine here, didn't upgrade to the later beta's, having a big UI/config overhaul, either though)

Can you try to save the plugin, without changing anything?
Or if that doesn't work, remove the task and add it again?

Well,

reflashed the esp with beta *1125, came up allright, in devices the ds18B20 config appearedto be alright, but no temperatures or "macadresses" of the sensor were visible, a submit command and they reactivated again, seems to do the trick, but has not behaved like this before as far as i know ?

But workaround is to submit the ds18b20 deviceconfig for each sensor manually on this version.

Checked, hope this helps ..

The 'needs to be stored again' issue has been fixed a few hours ago by TD-er, and it will most likely be in the next build, as TD-er is ironing out a couple of issues & bugs that creeped in during the rather extensive refactoring done in the last few builds.

Yep, saving the Dallas task config again would probably have fixed the issue for you.
In the next build it will patch settings at runtime, so you don't need to save it to keep working with settings from an older build.

Already did... a few hours ago :)
In the next build it will be included.
