Hello,
I don't understand why, with ESPEASY, I always have problems obtaining a quick and simple first connection after flashing with ESPEASY Web.
Here's the link I used with Microsoft Edge. https://td-er.nl/ESPEasy/
After installation complete!, Logs & Console, Connect to Wifi, Configure Wi-Fi, Triyng to connect, nothing happend.
For example with Tasmota : https://tasmota.github.io/install/
I do not have this kind of problem.
Here some information from the console:
00:01:16.954 : (16288) Info : WD : Uptime 1 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 16424 WiFiStatus: WL_IDLE_STATUS 0 ESPeasy internal wifi status: DISCONNECTED
00:01:35.610 : (16368) Info : WiFi : Start network scan all channels
00:01:37.794 : (16136) Info : WiFi : Scan finished, found: 3
00:01:37.797 : (16256) Info : WIFI : Arduino wifi status: WL_IDLE_STATUS 0 ESPeasy internal wifi status: DISCONNECTED
00:01:46.951 : (16288) Info : WD : Uptime 2 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 16424 WiFiStatus: WL_IDLE_STATUS 0 ESPeasy internal wifi status: DISCONNECTED
If I try with the help of Thermite:
00:01:16.947 : (16288) Info : WD : Uptime 1 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 16424 WiFiStatus: WL_IDLE_STATUS 0 ESPeasy internal wifi status: DISCONNECTED
00:01:35.608 : (16368) Info : WiFi : Start network scan all channels
00:01:37.792 : (16056) Info : WiFi : Scan finished, found: 4
00:01:37.795 : (16256) Info : WIFI : Arduino wifi status: WL_IDLE_STATUS 0 ESPeasy internal wifi status: DISCONNECTED
If I set up the parameters :
wifissid,WIFINAME
wifikey,WIFIPASS
save
I get the OK answer.
But here, also I do not get a wifi connection. Only after a few power off / on, I can setup the wifi with the help of the AP mode.
Every time I load the ESPEASY firmware on an ESP32 or ESP8266, I have this kind of problem.
As I've already said with TASMOTA ESP Web Tools, it works the first time.
This is just for your information.
Regards
Otto
ESPEASY Flasching and the first Wifi connection?

Re: ESPEASY Flasching and the first Wifi connection?
That's exactly what I am working on right now. (as in literally now at this moment)
You can already try yesterday's build: https://td-er.nl/ESPEasy/latest/
Still a problem in that build when you disconnect wifi it might sometimes crash (working on) and switching WiFi off via command ("wifimode, off") from an external source (e.g. MQTT/webbrowser) may also cause a crash.
But at least it is now much faster in getting an IP right after scanning.

Re: ESPEASY Flasching and the first Wifi connection?
Thanks so much that you will fix this problem, you help is appreciated
ESPEasy is really a very good Firmware.
Small question : may I use this same file for one ESP8266 and ESP32?
I have a test board D1 WEMOS with one ESP-8266

Re: ESPEASY Flasching and the first Wifi connection?
The platforms for which the same build type is available is listed in [...]
Thus if it states your platform in that list then you can select it to be flashed.
N.B. In about 10 minutes I will update the build in 'latest' to the new one I just made.
So you may need to refresh the page to see today's date appear in the list.

Updated the build on https://td-er.nl/ESPEasy/latest/
N.B. I also updated to the latest flasher software, so it may take slightly longer to detect a board as it tries a bit harder to get the IMPROV string from the board stating any installed firmware.
