PowerDown command

I do not see any "PowerDown" commands that one can send the ESP unit before you "Pull the Plug" on it.
I had an instance where i had to unplug my unit and after that it was just sending garbage out the serial port, had to re-flash it to work again.
Anyone else that think this is an good idea or is it not needed?
