Re: Support for PZEM 004T Energy monitor

Hello, I'm trying to compile last ESPeasy V2.0 release (ESPEasy-2.0-20180510) but I'm getting the same errors as #71 http://www.letscontrolit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=22585#p22585. Did anyone solve this issue? How to compile this plug in under the latest releases of ESPeasy software? Thanks in adva...

Re: Longer Range?

May be I'm so lucky... :D

I have had only one in my hands so, it may be an exception. It is marked as AI-Thinker but I know that there are a lot of fake chips around...

BTW, I'm using it just to extend range and works great...

Re: Longer Range?

Hi Shardan, I have a esp-07 without "S" and I can confirm that it has 1MBytes memory as you can see bellow: $ esptool.py --port /dev/ttyUSB0 flash_id esptool.py v2.1 Connecting.... Detecting chip type... ESP8266 Chip is ESP8266 Uploading stub... Running stub... Stub running... Manufacturer: e0 Devic...

Re: DNS hostname

+1 vote to have the option to select host name format...... Or in my particular case, no unit number at all.....

Re: DNS hostname

Technically, both ways are the same but, I think that host names were created to make easier to remember a familiar name than a IP address. If the UnitNumber is added to host name, it is more difficult to remember the "Familiar Name": you have to remember not only the name but also UnitNumber. I don...

DNS hostname

Hello all, I'm testing ESPeasy Mega and have loaded ESPEasy_v2.0.0-dev12_dev_4096.bin on a ESP-12F. Everything seams to work ok but I have found the following issue: When ESPeasy is configured to request IP address by DHCP, the host name that it sends to DNS server is "UnitName_UnitNumber" format. I...

Re: Support for PZEM 004T Energy monitor

Hello all, Just a few words about PZEM 004T: I have implement one PZEM connected to a ESP-12F and running a very simple custom sketch. It is installed at very beginning of the incoming electrical line so, it should measure the same as the meter of electrical provider. After 11 months comparing the t...

Re: GPIO pin status at rules engine

Hi, Thank you for your response. Your suggestion, setting dummy variables, is a good solution. BTW, I'm looking for a new approach. I will explain the idea if it can be useful for other people. I'm controlling a irrigation system through openHab controller so, when it is time to start a irrigation z...

Re: GPIO pin status at rules engine

Hello, I'd like to do the same as hiihoo. My ESP Easy node is controlling 16 relays so, it is not desirable to have to define 16 switches devices only to know gpio state in a rule. Those relays are activated/deactivated by an openHab controller and in specific situations, I need to know gpio states....

Re: ESP Easy Mega

Hello BerndJ,

In your previous post you say that you have compiled ESP Easy Mega so, I guess you have a pointer to source code. If so, could you please share it with us?

Thanks in advance,

Re: MQTT : Failed to connected to broker

Hi all, I have tested the R109 with 2.6 library and everything seams to work ok. After the IP connection to the broker has been restored, ESP Easy reconnects immediately and stays connected. I will continue to test this version and will keep all of you informed. Good work Martinus and thank you very...

Re: MQTT : Failed to connected to broker

Hello all, I have found this problem in all versions that I have tried since R78. Once ESP Easy lost the IP connection with MQTT broker, it can't connect again entering in a infinite loop. Doesn't matter if the ESP lost wifi connection or MQTT server goes down. I have tried to change the ESP Easy co...

PCF8574 and MQTT

Hello all,

I have tried to find any information about how to change a PCF8574 output pin state using a MQTT message without success. Has anyone know how to do that?

Any information will be appreciated....

Re: Wifi IoT Relay Board Based on ESP8266

Hello all, I just received 2 of this units. My first impressions - Load ESPEasy R106 without any problems. - The built quality is very similar to Sonoff hardware. - It has 2 relays on board (only NO contacts) - It has a 12 pin header with most GPIO exposed. - There is a place to connect a DHT22. You...

Re: R91 Bugs

Hi, Another little bug: If you setup a HC-SR04 ultrasonic distance meter, you don't have the option to specify the decimal places so, the data reported is alway a integer value. Some times it is important to have the exact value in order to calculate averages, max and min as well as establish an err...

R91 Bugs

Hello, I have discovered 2 bugs in R91 release (I don't know if they did exist previously). 1 - If you setup a sensor as Task 1, once clik submit , the fields NAME and VALUE NAME are not stored in flash memory so, next time that you try to edit the task, these values are missing. Also, the names are...
