ESPEasy stability in not a problem
Hello all, As you can see, this device is running for more than 2 years without problems. Sometimes, I have to "hot swap" a I2C module or add a new one and everything remains working. Really rock solid. Actually, there are 4xPCF8574 and one BME280 connected to it and running under a UPS. T...

Re: Unable to run "max" firmware into a ESP-32 16MB
Yes, it works.....
After a few tests, everything seams to work as expected except that Chip Model is detected as ESP32-D0WDQ5-V3 instead of ESP32-D0WD-V3.
Thanks a lot for your support and knowledge.

TD-er, I have been make some tests in order to go ahead with this issue but my limited knowledge of this matter doesn't allow me to reach a success solution so, this was what I have done: - I have compiled last version of Tasmota in order to generate a 16MB compatible firmware. - I uploaded it into ...

Re: Unable to run "max" firmware into a ESP-32 16MB
Hi TD-er I have flashed a "normal" 4MB image (ESP_Easy_mega_20220427_normal_ESP32_4M316k-factory.bin) and surprise, only 4MB are detected. I have found that the ESP Chip Model is incorrect also: ESPEasy reports "ESP32-D0WDQ5" instead ESP32-D0WD-V3. I don't know if it is important...

Re: Unable to run "max" firmware into a ESP-32 16MB
There is no output at all regarding the ESPEasy firmware? Do you mean during ESP32 boot? If so,no at all. Here is a serial boot log. After first reset message (power on reset), the ESP32 goes into a infinite loop sending messages about "SW_RESET" very quickly. ets Jul 29 2019 12:21:46 [18...

Thanks for your replay.

I'm glad to do any test that you want.....

Unable to run "max" firmware into a ESP-32 16MB
Hello everybody, I just received my first 2 ESP-32 with 16MB flash. Of course, I didn't wait a microsecond to load the "max" version of ESPEasy firmware but I couldn't be successful. Those are my test results: - The modules are ESP32-WROOM-32E and ESP32-WROOM-32UE both with 16MB flash. - T...

Re: I2C bus error - PN532
Thank you Thomas,
I will do some tests to see if adjusting Stretch Limit could resolve this issue.
BTW, I think that if older versions can detect bus errors, the newer ones could do the same. May be the right thing to do is open an issue or PR in GitHub....

I2C bus error - PN532
I have a self built ESP8266 with a PN532 connected to it that has worked for months. After some hardware modifications, I have updated ESPEasy from build 20191127 to the last one. After that, when I turned on and off several times a low power light (5W), the PN532 stops working until it is reset thr...

Re: DNS hostname
Technically, both ways are the same but, I think that host names were created to make easier to remember a familiar name than a IP address. If the UnitNumber is added to host name, it is more difficult to remember the "Familiar Name": you have to remember not only the name but also UnitNum...

Re: GPIO pin status at rules engine
Hello, I'd like to do the same as hiihoo. My ESP Easy node is controlling 16 relays so, it is not desirable to have to define 16 switches devices only to know gpio state in a rule. Those relays are activated/deactivated by an openHab controller and in specific situations, I need to know gpio states....

Hello all, I just received 2 of this units. My first impressions - Load ESPEasy R106 without any problems. - The built quality is very similar to Sonoff hardware. - It has 2 relays on board (only NO contacts) - It has a 12 pin header with most GPIO exposed. - There is a place to connect a DHT22. You...
