Re: Introducing the Dummy Device on ESP Easy (Github R118!)
Thanks to all the info in this thread I was able to use the Nextion display, showing values from sensors around the house! Using Dummy sensor on the Nextion nodemcu and having 3 other units with different sensors send data and update it. All using dummy sensor, rules and sendtohttp. Then using the N...

Re: New ESP gadget
Just in case anyone is running into problems after flashing the new Sonoff S20 plugs (or maybe others as well) Sonoff flashes as usual, but after reset (plugging in AC) there is now Wifi AP as the device just hangs. New boards are either delivered with ESP8285 or need DOut reset mode. https://www.le...

sweet lord baby jesus! i got it to work with esp easy r147. I flashed it like normal but you brought up a good point of it needed to be flashed in "din". This however did not work. so i just went down the line and tried every single option I set SPI mode to "DOut" and it worked....

Re: Unit of measure gp2y1010au0f
Just wanted to say thanks to Shardan. I have been playing around with this sensor for a few days. The output seems so fidgety and unreliable that I almost thought I have a dud sensor. Looking it up, it seems that not many people are having much luck with it. I almost thought about buying a new one, ...

Hi all. Anyone got the new Itead LED strip? https://www.itead.cc/smart-home/sonoff-led.html I have two. Successfully flashed with ver. 120. Working pretty fine, I actually believe they are an absolute bargain for what they can do. I can emulate all the functions of the original firmware. BUT Every f...

Re: Introducing the Dummy Device on ESP Easy (Github R118!)
This may be a really stupid question, but I seem to be stumped and want to thank you in advance for your patience. I am using a Switch input - button connected to gpio 14, active low, pulled up. Every push toggles the value from 0 to 1 and vice versa, exactly as it's supposed to. I wanted to make su...

The ONLY way I managed to compile and upload the latest build 110: IDE 1.6.8 (presume it would work with latest) Boards manager 2.3.0 PubSubClient by Nick O'Leary version 2.4.0. (actually worked with 2.3.0, but not higher) Short of digging through the code and changing stuff, the only way it would c...

The pin with the square (first/left) is 3.3, then TX, RX, GND. You can ignore the fifth PIN for flashing. Make sure you got the right drivers for your USB2TTL, set everything up, push & hold the black button on your sonoff and THEN plug the whole thing into your USB. I understand the pins.. I n...

Re: DHT22 AM2302 - sensor stops working - NaN
Any updates? Anyone? Is there any chance that the am2302 has a pull-up resistor already in place? People using the DHT22 on RasPi with 3.3V recommend not using one. I have a DHT22 in another project so I want to pull it out and use without the resistor. I have had my last two NaN failures only remed...

Mine does this too. It will eventually come back up. I'd like to know what others think. Thanks. At least I know I'm not the only one. It sometimes does come back, 20 min later, but sometimes 8 hours later still NaN.. This makes it useless, AFAIK. I might switch to BMP280 in the meantime... But I w...

Re: ESP EASY SKETCH UPLOAD ERROR
1. It looks like you are using an old ESP8266 library in the boardmanager you can check the version. Your's is 1.6.5-947-g39819f0. 2. You are using Arduino 1.6.7. and version 1.6.5 is the version which is advised for using with the esp8266 library. So my advice is to go back to IDE 1.6.5 , then go ...
