Re: ESP8266 with DHT22: sometimes no values received
Missing values appears to be an issue with the DHT22. I have seen it mentioned in several temp/humidity sensor related posts on the internet (don't have any specific references).

ESPEasy SPIFFS(?) Security Issue
Last week I was testing some ESP-01 devices with ESPEasy 2.x and ran into the following problem (which is probably more a general issue than specifically related to version 2.x): I first flashed ESPEasy 2.x (guess it was Dev-7) with the binary firmware uploader and then configured the node including...

The admin password required for accessing/configuring an ESPEasy node travels the network non-encrypted in clear text. For MQTT the same problem exists. NOTE: all HWL8012 modules and devices work with HIGH VOLTAGE and they do expose it to the user; make sure you connect LIVE and NEUTRAL correctly, as doing the other way around LIVE will be tied to chip GND and increasing the risks!!! What makes things worse is that wiring colors are relevant only w...

For BMP280 which virtual device type to select in Domoticz
I added a BMP280 to one of my ESPEasy nodes.
I wanted to create a virtual device for it in Domoticz.
However, I was unable to find a matching virtual device type "Temperature + Barometer".
What virtual device type should I select for BMP280 in Domoticz?

Crappy sensor? pity.
I'm still looking for a good accurate (not too expensive) temperature and humidity sensor preferably with I2C interface.
BME280 is not designed as precision thermometer therefore not a real alternative.

Is it possible to set a custom UI timeout value?
Increasing the timeout value is useful for development/configuring/testing activities to prevent having the enter the password over and over to unlock the UI again.
Better than having to force a blank password.

When downloading the v2.x.x Release Candidate zip files different versions (named 'normal', 'test' and 'dev') of the firmware are included.
While I can image (some) meaning of 'test' and 'dev', what exactly is the difference between these normal, test and dev versions of the firmware?

Is there an official RFLink gateway logo?
If so, where can it be downloaded?
Preferably in vector format and hi-res transparant PNG formats.
Will be nice to put on (custom made) RFLink gateway enclosures.

For the SSD1306 I2C OLED Display the rotation is incorrect . Rotation "Normal" displays a 180 degrees rotated image and rotation "Rotated" displays a normal (non-rotated) image. So "Normal" and "Rotated" work reversed which should be corrected in the firmware....

Does TRÅDFRI? use 2.4GHz, 868MHz or 433MHz?
Does this mean that CC2500 will work with Ansluta but not with the new TRÅDFRI?
Can anyone (StuntTeam?) comment on this?

Thanks.
For instance, a LoRaWAN RN2483 module to send out notifications over The Things Network.
While that does not have to be an option for the RFLink Gateway (it could be connected separately to the Pi) but it might be a nice future option.

Clear.
So that would be either 433MHz OR 868MHz supported on one gateway? (that would be a pity).
I have no use for 868MHz devices myself yet but it's good to know what is and is not possible.

That does not answer my question why the hardware serial ports were chosen.

If I remember well I did read somewhere that the firmware currently supports 868 MHz.
I therefore assumed that information about 868 MHz modules and wiring would be available, but info on 868 MHz supported devices would follow.
But I might have interpreted that incorrectly.

Why does RFLink use the hardware serial ports instead of standard digital IO ports?
This way they cannot be used for other devices with a serial interface.
