Re: Serial MCU controlled relay/switch

This for anyone who would like to setup ESP Easy for a LCTech Relay X2 board. Thanks for the guys here for making this happen and helping me getting it working with my relay board. I got mine from ICStation.com: http://www.icstation.com/esp8266-wifi-channel-relay-module-smart-home-remote-control-swi...

Re: Serial MCU controlled relay/switch

According to riker 115200 baud is the necessary setting. Save than power off&power on the device, and check if it works. If nothing helps you can try other speeds, and for last resort: command doubling. WOW, man, it works! Thank you very much! Let me add a post here with the exact settings for ...

Re: Serial MCU controlled relay/switch

You have to implement MQTT support if you wish to use it. Currently the plugin can be used with the following commands: The ON command for Relay0: relay,0,1 The OFF command for Relay0: relay,0,0 The ON command for Relay1: relay,1,1 The OFF command for Relay1: relay,1,0 Commands can be executed on t...

Re: Serial MCU controlled relay/switch

If someone would like test it. Compiled using recent sources (core 2.4.1) I compiled it with PUYA patched Esp.cpp It should by work with differ than PUYA flash IC too. To fit in 1MB II got rid of some plugins that I think it can not be used with serial controlled boards. Hi Xury, I have an LCTech R...

Re: Serial MCU controlled relay/switch

Hi Guys, I have used ESP Easy before, but so far I only uploaded the precompiled bins. So to make this work for the LCTech relay board I need to compile my own version e.g. from Arduino? This also means that this core 2.4 is not the same as the 20180428 binary versions? A slightly off topic question...

Re: Unreliable config page and SendTo connectivity

Not much from my side. Or to be precise I have not done extensive testing since this post. Whatever is said here is certainly true, having multiple units appear cause interference. I can also suggest to set the 2.4Ghz wifi channel to a channel which is less busy. On my router it was set to automatic...

Re: Unreliable config page and SendTo connectivity

First of all, thank you for using my flow for running the stats. I have to say this makes me interested. Is it possible that there is so much difference between individual models? None of my models are as reliable as yours.

Re: PWM output with automatic fade

Hi All, I am posting this again hopeing somebody reads it and can answer: I am using the pwm fade with a long delay know, like /control?cmd=pwm,12,1023,10000. But it seem this command keeps the ESP locked and if I send another pwm command it is not getting executed. Any suggestions? Is there a way t...

Sure, PWM command has the last parameter, that defines time for fade: /control?cmd=PWM,<gpio>,<level>,<fade_time> I am using this with a long delay know, like /control?cmd=pwm,12,1023,10000. Re: Unreliable config page and SendTo connectivity

Dont forget to give all the units different numbers (not 0!). I had the most unreliable situations when there where more than one unit with the same unit no on the network Yes, that was clear for me too, but I did not know about the need for global sync. Anything else? What about the UDP? (I don't ...

Thanks for the global sync hints. I did not set it yet.
I will also set up ping as well. Will see if this improves reliability.

I have very mixed experience. Some of them working without any issues, others are worse and drop the HTTP connection. But HTTP control and MQTT always seem to work.

Startup process, troubleshooting questions

Hi Guys, Can somebody tell me what is the boot process on ESP Easy? I just want to better understand what the code does in order to troubleshoot some issues. Unreliable config page and SendTo connectivity

Hi Guys, I have 5 Sonoff devices all running ESP Easy 120. All 5 are at the same place, right next to each other. Some of them working OK, the response from the config page sometimes times out, but otherwise OK. But there is one, which is almost impossible to access. It is showing up on my network s...

Re: H801 : RGB controller based on ESP8266 avalaible from China

Hi Guys,

I also got my H801. I have installed R147_RC8, but I can see that pwmfade is not yet available in this release. Do you have any idea when this is going to be made available? I am trying to use only the released versions instead of building my own firmware.

Thanks,
Csongor

On a different topic I was asking if a fade function can be made available for the PWM output. Can this candle logic be adapted output the values to 3 GPIOs using PWM instead of neopixel?

PWM output with automatic fade

Hi All, I know this has been ask before, but I did not get a clear answer on the topic. I would like to use ESP Easy to control LED strip using the PWM output of the ESP. Is it possible to set up ESP Easy to automatically fade to a new value instead of setting it immediately on the output? Regards, ...

I was just looking for the same. Does anyone know if this has been considered (fading in between PWM states)? I guess this is not something which can be implemented in rules.

Re: Sonoff relay config

Hi All, It seems just be talking to myself the issue resolved itself. I found another reference saying that the MQTT topic is: /<device name>/gpio/12 and the payload is 1 or 0 to turn it on and off. So I presume this is a general way to write the gpio pins regardless of the device configuration on t...

A bit more info: the MQTT setup is definitely working. I created 2 System Info devices and they are sending the uptime and wifi strength info to MQTT without any issues.

So my only remaining info is how to turn the relay on and off over MQTT.
