You will not be able to httpS directly from ESP Easy. You need to have a relay server for that...

It is the official way of injecting data into InfluxDB. It'll push data directly from the MQTT stream instead of doing the hack of using Node-Red.

Re: dummy Octal

Aha, thingspeak doesnt allow for for multiple sending you mean? Well, that is something that the controller should take care of, not use a dummy for it. Please open a issue on GitHub. We should make the controller buffer all the values it should send and then send them once the buffer is filled.

Re: dummy Octal

I'm not understanding what you're trying to achieve here. The increased numbers of values will affect the other tasks so in a sense you're not really gaining anything. Have you tried adding devices to all tasks? Will your hack still work?

Makes sense. The offset will be 0..1 seconds depending on where on the loop the timer get activated. If you need better accuracy than that you need to use something other than ESP Easy...

Re: Timer accuracy in rules

I would say that, no, you cannot trust the timer to be 100% since it depends on your setup. The ESP is a single threaded unit and we don't want anything to be blocking = timers may not be spot on millisecond.

If you need 100% accuracy you must use delay but that will make the unit unresponsive.

Re: rules define own variable within rules

As of the last 2-3 months you can define up to 16 internal variables.

Code: Select all

Let,16,123
The rule above will set variable 16 to the value 123. You can use the variables in either using this syntax:

%v16%

Or

[VAR#16]

How you want to publish the version number is then up to you.

Think of the rules set as pages in a book. They are all in the same book. Thus they could be one long page or divided into several short pages.

Later versions let you do this by adding a converter for translating 1/0 to ON/OFF etc. Don't have the exact syntax in my head now but look for "pinstate" or similar. I will try to look more tomorrow.

This is up to the maintainer of that plugin. When he/she feels that it's time it should be made a proper PR which we then approve.

Setting the GPIO to something will never trigger the relay task. GPIO is changing the value internally, only externally will invoke the event Relai#Relai (ps you should really not name them the same). Try this to trigger an event: on toto do if [Relai#Relai]=1 gpio,12,0 else gpio,12,1 endif Event,Re...
