Re: OUTPUT to one GPIO and INPUT on another GPIO
i think this should be possible ...
i would try sending a digital signature (GPIOx high, low, high, low, high) and try to receive this pattern at another GPIO.
How long is your circuit? is there another powersource?

Re: convert hexa to pwm values
i try something ... but as the result i send the decimal value for every color ... because ESPEasy don#t receive strings via MQTT.
so for FFFF00 i send 255 255 0
On MQTTRGB#LEDBlue do
NeoPixel,1,[MQTTRGB#LEDRed],[MQTTRGB#LEDBlue],[MQTTRGB#LEDGreen]
endon

i use 2 sensors to controll temperature and watering.
first one is a wemos d1mini connected 3 temperature sensors and updating dyndns.
second is a sonoff basic controlling water at the summer and heating at the winter.
both using a simple gsm-wlan-router

For my environment i build a watchdog. Send uptime to MQTT. receive this data again. Compare uptime and watchdog and reboot if difference is too big. i use my own MQTT server ... reacheble over GSM from ESPEasy-sensor. Currently i get a uptime of max 5 days ... but seems the watchdog is'nt the reboo...

missing events after some days of runtime
using many ESP8266 with ESP Easy. Works great mostly, many thanks! Two of them are sonoff devices. (Sonoff S20 & Sonoff basic) mega-20180606 After some days the button stops working. So i am unable to switch on/off with button. At the device (Switch input - Switch at D3) i see the status toggle ...

Re: MQTT Import - stability problems ...?
currently my Message Interval is 1000msec
but this is for outgoing/sending messages only ... i think?
i correct the settings within my home control (FHEM) and send the control message one time once (instead 10 times)
now it works for days without problems.
i will report new problems as they occur.

The problem connecting to the web-gui are from MQTT connection problems (within my environment) Wait 2-3 minutes and try again. Connecting serial send & serial receive (RX&TX) while rebooting erase the config (starting with some FW-version i don't remember) Flashing the 1MB file may work too...

Re: MQTT Import - stability problems ...?
I use only one MQTT Import with only one value. But because a non optimal software configuration i send the value 20 times per minute (10 times within 2-3 seconds). After some hours the ESP-Easy don't get new/changed MQTT values. I open the webpage and check this within device-view. An external MQTT...

Re: MQTT Import - stability problems ...?
Hi waspi, which firmware do you use. With "older" fw (last year) i don't see such problems too, but i flash the current because the "wlan-setting-writes kill the flash" problem. i configure another ESP (NodeMCU), point to the same MQTT topic for import and get the same result. Bo...

MQTT - problems over slow connection
Hi, i have connection problems using MQTT over 3G-connection (limited to 28kbps). 2 other ESP-devices (using arduino IDE-code) send and receive MQTT data without problems. The ESP-Easy devices send and receive MQTT data too until i upgrade the firmware to current version. The old code is from middle...

MQTT Import - stability problems ...?
Hi all, i use SonOff S20 to control my dehumidifier. FHEM send every minute a MQTT message to restart the Count-Down-Timer. Works fine after ESP restart. But after some time (1-2h) the MQTT import stops reading MQTT messages. The counter expires and the dehumidifier stops working. Manually send MQTT...

Re: ESP-Chip (Rules) not running without WLAN?
The new S20 device with current software mostly don't have this problem.
Seems the MQTT connection is the source of the problem.
With current firmware i have to wait some seconds and the switch is working without WLAN too.

High CPU Load and crashes with LongPulse or Timer
Hello all, i use ESP Easy at Sonoff-S20. Works great, but sometimes the system crashes. I start monitoring system variables. (CPU load, Memory, uptime, ...) After some uptime i see high CPU load (70%) while using LongPulse. Crashes i see only while CPU load is high. i switch to the timer function. B...

ESP-Chip (Rules) not running without WLAN?
Hi, last days i install ESP Easy at Sonoff s20 device. Works great ... so far. The S20 device has a local button to switch power on/off directly. It use a rule to switch the relay if the button is pressed. If i disable WLAN, the system is not usable. The local switch don't work any more. I this OK o...
