Finally, I have used the Grovkillen's script (zip attached somewhere above) along with a Dummy device. I works fine and fits my requirement. Not sure to understand how does it work but it works :)

You are right, there are some other rules to make the button work. I usually don't use the button. I use the wifi ( http://192.168.1.118/control?cmd=event,AL ) to switch on the heater(which is in the basement) during my breakfast, so when then I go downstairs to the basement to work, the temperature...

Hi Ath,
you were right.
I have just upgraded the Sonoff S26 to the "ESP_Easy_mega_20231225_normal_ESP8266_1M" version and now , everything looks fine.

NB: just one thing, Now, I must tick the Device "Inversed Logic". It was not ticked with the former version.

I suppose I can't upgrade using wifi so I need to reopen the Sonoff S26 and solder the cables again :(

N.B. Starting 2022/07/23, 1M ESP8266 builds can also be used on ESP8285 units and thus there is no longer a specific ESP8285 build anymore.

I read in another thread (https://templates.blakadder.com/sonoff_S26R2.html) that the sonoff S26R2 runs a esp8285 with 1M flash.
Does it make a difference or can I still use ESP_Easy_mega_20230623_normal_ESP8266_1M.bin.
I prefer to ask before burning it :)

Else, could you advise an older espeasy version (which has the notification feature) that I could use as I don't need a lot of features : I have connected one reed to detect when the window is open and 3 rules ( timer + sendhttp + sendmail) ?

The Release mega-20201130 has been published but it only contains 4M versions. Would be it possible to have the 1M version ?

In the log, there is a record when the timer is set, but the rules are not applied when the timer reaches 0 .

The smtp notification doesn't work but I may have a configuration issue. On the other hand, it seems that this version doesn't detect when a timer reaches 0 so doesn't trigger the rules/notifications. I have downgraded to ESP_Easy_mega_20201016_normal_ESP8266_1M.bin instead of ESP_Easy_mega_20201125_normal_ESP8266_1M.bin and now, the notifications are back :)

Can it be an arduino issue with the compilation ?

so the 100K-Resistor of around 2 Watt has to be connected between the main 230V and the optocoupler right ? Between 2 and 6 or between 1 and 2 ?

Hi TD-er, I went through some doc on the optocouplers. In your example,in a normal case, when there is no electrical power cut, the optocoupler LED will close the (power) circuit on which the esp (deepmode) is connected to. AND It will open the power circuit when there is an electrical power outage....

I am not an electronic specialist, so I will try to ask around some friends. My understanding is that when there is a power outage, it closes a second circuit which can be used with the deepsleep feature to awake the espxxx.

GPIO 1 if I use the TX
or
GPIO 3 if I use the RX.

For the record, to disable the serial port , go to Tools, Advanced, and untick the "Enable Serial port:" in the "Serial Settings" section.
