Finally, I have used the Grovkillen's script (zip attached somewhere above) along with a Dummy device. I works fine and fits my requirement. Not sure to understand how does it work but it works
Thanks for your tips.

Re: Get the timer value
@Grovkillen,
do you know if today the value of a timer can be displayed as part of the json query or using a http request ?
I remember having posted the request some years ago.
NB: I have just read your last answer requiring to open a feature on GitHub.

Re: cannot save rules and GUI is odd
You are right, there are some other rules to make the button work. I usually don't use the button. I use the wifi ( http://192.168.1.118/control?cmd=event,AL ) to switch on the heater(which is in the basement) during my breakfast, so when then I go downstairs to the basement to work, the temperature...

Hi Ath,
you were right.
I have just upgraded the Sonoff S26 to the "ESP_Easy_mega_20231225_normal_ESP8266_1M" version and now , everything looks fine.
NB: just one thing, Now, I must tick the Device "Inversed Logic". It was not ticked with the former version.
Thanks again

N.B. Starting 2022/07/23, 1M ESP8266 builds can also be used on ESP8285 units and thus there is no longer a specific ESP8285 build anymore.

I read in another thread (https://templates.blakadder.com/sonoff_S26R2.html) that the sonoff S26R2 runs a esp8285 with 1M flash.
Does it make a difference or can I still use ESP_Easy_mega_20230623_normal_ESP8266_1M.bin.
I prefer to ask before burning it

Hi Sherdan,
so the 100K-Resistor of around 2 Watt has to be connected between the main 230V and the optocoupler right ? Between 2 and 6 or between 1 and 2 ?
I hope to go to the shop this week. I will ask for an optocoupler with a "normally closed" relay.

I assume that :
GPIO 1 if I use the TX
or
GPIO 3 if I use the RX.
For the record, to disable the serial port , go to Tools, Advanced, and untick the "Enable Serial port:" in the "Serial Settings" section.
