Re: New hackable ESP gadgets in local budget store "action" !!!

Promotion prices from tomorrow for BE & NL, maybe in other countries too... Thanks for the tip! Just went to the store and got me some smart plugs and a doorsensor. I see more people discussing it here, what is the status for ESP Easy? Can i try the doorsensor with the latest ESP Easy build already?

Re: "SmartNodeRules" concept idea

I really like the idea. The ESPeasy p2p protocol is getting some rewrite to share plugin data among nodes. If you need any changes/additions or have some good ideas, please let me know. This is just something I was thinking about also, but was not yet able to make it due to time and time lost in th...

ESP Easy status?

Just stepping in after some pause with my own little DIY projects. Checking ESP easy status on the wiki https://www.letscontrolit.com/wiki/index.php/ESPEasy The ESP Easy firmware is currently at build R120 and is stable enough for production purposes as long as it's being used as a sensor device. Ne...

Windows Rules but what to do after starting the program?

I downloaded WindowsRules from the smartnoderules github and run it on my Windows 10 PC. It shows a black window with some messages and that's it. When i browse to the IP address of my Windows PC, this shows: WindowsRules.png I saw a sample for ESP Easy connecting to Wifi, but my PC has no wifi and ...

Re: USB charger, & nightlight fitted with Wemos D1 Mini project

Nice hacking you have done! Do you think that one of those tiny PIR sensors will fit in there? That would make a nice small Wifi enabled Motion Sensor Sample what i mean: https://www.ebay.com/itm/HC-SR505-Mini-Infrared-PIR-Motion-Sensor-Precise-Infrared-Detector-Module/201414945373?hash=item2ee5442a...

Re: RPIEasy

Cool project!! I still must have an Orange PI zero somewhere in the collection of abandoned projects. Ordered because it was only 14 euro. I thought it was the same as Raspberry pi but it was not.

But could this run RPIEasy? I remember that i ran Armbian firmware on it.

On Arduino Mega:

Could you have a look at it?

Re: "SmartNodeRules" concept idea

I'm using ArduinoEasy for a while with Domoticz. Could be nice to have a small webgui with power control buttons to control this unit directly. Maybe in case Domoticz has crashed like it did a while ago when the SD card in the RPI suddenly died. ArduinoEasy does not have such an option and it seems ...

Been a while since last visit, but just updated my ESP units from todays github source, compiling on core 2.4.1 and everything went really smooth. Re: ESPEasy32 or uPYEasy?

I see that uPyEasy only has a few plugins and BH1750 LUX sensor is not listed. The ESPEasy32 looks to have more plugins, but the wiki says that the BH1750 does not work there also.

KRACK issue on ESPEasy R120

It looks like my ESP devices are not safe anymore but a newer firmware is not there.
Would it be a good idea to load the not official V2.0 and does that have the KRACK fixed?
Am i the only one who is worried here? Or did i not read well the information somewhere?

Re: ESPEasy32 or uPYEasy?

I'm thinking of outdoor LED system with at least 4 zones to control. This could be 4 relais or PWM, 4 input buttons and a LUX sensor, maybe temp and hum sensor as well. I think the ESP32 is nice because of the many GPIO on that board. The board is ready for the future i believe. But now the firmware?

But i did find info on the wiki. It seems that R120 is still the current stable.
I guess the KRACK issue is still in there. Should i be worried about that?

I also received my ESP32 module this weekend. I do not have any real plan yet but it looked like a really funny board with lot...

I got my hands on a second-hand original Nodo shield that i currenty use for RFLink on a Mega with a special adapter cable. I have the Aurel modules but they are in use for RFLink at the moment (old Nodo Shield). But i have some chinese modules left from my earlier Nodo Small trials. Can these be used also? Re: Are there any plans for simple BASIC rules in Easy ESP?

Well my "simple" idea supports only one simple logic rule: on <event>[compare][value] do [{]<action>[,<action>,..}] The idea was based on the old Nodo project were we had a similar set of oneliner event/actions. I think that people that came from the nodo project would like this if it work like the...

MySensors goes ESP!!

Actually you don't need any gateway when when deploying a MySensors node on a ESP module. So now we can use the mysensors code on the ESP module? That would be really nice! I have used mysensors for a short while, but I was not really happy with the range of the modules. So I moved over to the ESP ...
