Issues with EMONcms - recent builds only - logs not showing error

Now I haven't fully diagnosed this problem yet, but I have been having problems with sending data from a Wemos D1 mini to a local EMONcms server. The problem occurs on recent versions (ESP_Easy_mega_20201022_test_ESP8266_4M1M_VCC), but not older ones (ESP_Easy_mega-20191208_test_ESP8266_4M1M_VCC.bin...

In the documentation on the SleepMode it refers to "its recommended to set the Message Interval to 100 (or less) in the advanced settings page". Does this Message Interval only apply to MQTT? The ESP8266 I am setting up is only using EMONCMS and there is no setting for Message Interval whe...

Re: Public poll about modem-router brands that work without problem with espeasy and domoticz

Well a lot of users don't have a choice in routers. Also quite a lot of internet service providers have a specific firmware installed which doesn't allow a lot of tweaking on the WiFi part of the router/modem. I would be very surprised if a modem/router did not allow the disabling of the WiFi, so a...

Thanks for this post. There are some really good ideas in here.

I found these little NeoPixel strips that might make a good display indicator. You might want to use every second LED though.

The main difference is that it is using different SDK builds, which so appear to behave differently with regard to WiFi. How many WiFi clients are connecting to the router? What is the WiFi environment like in your location? How many 2.4GHz access points show up and what signal strength? The IBT_2 BTS7960 is a very affordable motor driver which claims to support up to an impressive 43A over a wide voltage. Before assuming it dead you can test the sensitivity with any kind of smoke. I tried this and the peak smoke levels look reasonable with PM10 over 1500 and PM2.5 over 700. Due to the nature of the sensor it seems appropriate to ask if you cleaned it, before putting it back to use?
