Re: Wifi seems to be dead.. how to get the config (r120)

Unfortunately that doesn't work. I rebooted the thing several times (remove power) and that didn't work. I do get serial connection but I have no idea how to get some useful information from the esp. Thing is that it had some unusual pin-configurations and I kinda forgot what it was :? Hence my ques...

Wifi seems to be dead.. how to get the config (r120)

Howdee folks, Of all my ESPEasy's in my house there is one running old r120 software and no backup. Turns out it won't connect to wifi anymore but it seems it still runs. I can connect to it using the serial interface and indeed it seems it cannot find any ssids so I assume the wifi of the board (Lo...

Re: ESP-01 Deep Sleep Settings

I find this deep-sleep settings confusing as well. The wiki clearly states that it will take readings on all sensors and then go back to sleep. As travorjdaniel is saying as well, I just want the esp to go back to sleep as soon as it has broadcasted all sensors. Isn't it better then to have a settin...

Forum search could be a lot better (actually broken now)

Hiya folks, After having been 'away' for a while I have to refresh my memory regarding configuring my esp. Unfortunately searching this forum turns out to be a real pain. I searched for (without the quotes): 'ntp server', 'time server', 'send data' the forum didn't allow me to search using an...

Are there still people using Windows??? Amazing... so, would be nice for the real engineers among us to update the wiki and explain how to upload R78 to an ESP without Windows.. Like Linux, Mac etc etc. :)

Re: pulse counter with CNY70

Exactly... it is very accurate and doesn't seem to miss anything. Regarding an unresponsive Domoticz.. I hope that the ESP's internal buffered count is only reset to 0 when the json call to Domoticz returns an OK. In all other cases it should keep counting until the next successful Domoticz update. ...

Re: pulse counter with CNY70

Hi Danny, One problem you may encounter when using an esp-1 is that both gpio0 and gpio2 inputs are used at reset to determine how to restart. I used esp-12e on a little pcb where gpio4 and gpio5 are on the pins where esp-1 has gpio0 and gpio2. With the latest ESPeasy versions I can now also use OT...

Installing non-stable releases.. how?

Ok, so here is perhaps a dumb question: how can you install one of the non-stable (youngest) releases? I see the github repo but if I download that and open it in Arduino IDE it gives me errors for missing libs. So I guess that's not how you do it. I can't find any doc telling how to get such a rele...

Re: pulse counter with CNY70

To reply myself. I figured out that one cycle on the meter is exactly 1 liter (0,001m3). So I assume that it generates 2 pulses (from no reflection > metallic disk > no reflection). I cannot verify that easily because the meter is covered by the sensor board when it is all in place. So, in ESPEasy I...

Ok, I think I have a test setup working now for my water meter.

@Bob, how did you exactly configure stuff in ESPEasy and Domoticz for the water meter? Formula's, dividers etc? Like how do you make sure the counting is counting the right stuff?

Thanks

Re: what's coming? and some ideas

But do you need such a service. In our case we have Arduino IDE. I'd say you load a custom config file, comment out the modules you don't need and then compile and transfer to the esp. Isn't it just a matter of skipping some INCLUDEs?

Hi folks, Is it somehow possible to have an LED connected to the ESP that is on during communication (http/wifi)? Or Off. Re: what's coming? and some ideas

In the mean time, we have almost hit the 434kB barrier (on 512k ESP modules) with the ESP Easy project, so we have reached the limit on most of the current ESP modules out in the field. So that leaves us without much room for a decent roadmap. Maybe only a few small plugins to go... Isn't it possib...

Re: MQ2 smoke/gas detector support?

I wonder if we need special treatment here. The MQ2 needs to warm up and requires some threshold. But maybe you can already configure that.
And what about the controlling the piezo? You would need some pulsating trigger here.

Omitting errors from DS18B20 sensors

Hiya folks, Last night I put my first EspEasy board to the test holding two DS18B20 sensors in series measuring water flow temperature in my heating system at home. So far so good. I think though that I didn't connect the sensors 'clean' enough because sometimes it registers the notorious 85C readin...
