Re: Great Job!

Something from 2018 on the 1MB Sonoffs. On the 4MB devices newer versions. But I my info was that I have to use tasks/devices to store vars and that there is no other way. 3 devices had the build 2019-11-30 and after update to 2019-12-08 they connect to WiFi very quickly.

Re: ESP Easy on Sonoff S26

I bought them on eBay. It is very nice to have 4MB on the Sonnoffs. But meanwhile I'm building my own hardware around the ESPs :-)

Great Job!

I just updated my ESP8266 devices to mega-20191208. You did a really great job!
My favorites are the monitor command and the 16 variables. And it is very fast.

Thank!
You!

Re: ESP Easy on Sonoff S26

Yesterday I received the 4MB flash modules from china. To improve my soldering skills I soldered one on a ESP-01 before maybe I destroy one of my S26 and that worked fine. Now I have an ESP-01 with a 4MB winboard flash instead of a 1MB PUYA. *dancing and singing* I tested OTA for updates and it work...

Re: ESP Easy on Sonoff S26

I have received 2 Sonoff S26 with a PUYA too. I ordered some Winbond 4M Flash chips (to enable Web-Update :-] ) and I will try to solder them on the S26 board. I have no much experience with soldering, but if I would finish that successfully, I will report the result. Wish me good luck! :-)

Re: Configure Deep Sleep on ESP12-F

Supplying ESP-boards with power via USB is not a good idea. On most boards a LED is on to show the board is powered by USB and so on. I found that LLOLIN boards powered via the battery connector are running a very long time with battery. The same battery connected to the USB port is drained much fas...

Re: How to flash these

I know the second one and it's easy to flash it with the ESPFlash-Tool included in the download-Zip. Take the esp8266 4MB bin. But you have to connect the PC to the lower USB-port, the pc recognizes it as a USB to serial adapter. You don't have to press a button to flash the board. After flashing yo...

Re: Problems with Sonoff S20 and Basic

Hi, thank you for your great support. I figuered out the reason for my problems today. Until now I flashed the ESPs with my Mac and esptool 2.3.2 and it seams so that this doesn'r work wery good. With dev boards I had nearly no problems, but on Sonoff devices I was not able to flash a running ESPeas...

Re: Problems with Sonoff S20 and Basic

Thank you for your quick response. I erased the flash by erasing it via esptool and now again with the 1MB blank image, but it still doesn't work with newer versions. Now I have the version 20180804 installed again and it works (Sonoff basic). I think I must stop to try it today, else I will lose my...

Problems with Sonoff S20 and Basic

Hi! I have massive WIFI-problems with Sonoff s20 and Basic. I tested several sonoffs, all have the same problems: very Slow, boot loops, often losing temprary Wifi connection, losing complete WIFI-connection, after configure with the setup-AP the sonoff often crashes, if I got it running I got boot ...
