String Variable

Please forgive me if this is covered in the docs, but if it is, there is not an example I can understand. I want to use a string variable: Let,4,"Bedroom" // Room Then later: sendtoHTTP,192.168.1.100,9000,/?player=[Var#4]&p0=mixer&p1=volume&p2=%2b[Var#3] Please help! Tony

Re: Short DeepSleep?

Thanks!
But I couldn't get "wifimode, off" and "wifimode, sta" to work. Can't find any documentation on this feature either. Please could you point me towards the firmware / docs?

Cheers

Tony

Short DeepSleep?

I'm using an IR LED / phototransistor to count dial rotations on my water meter. This is battery operated so I am keen to improve it's efficiency. I figured I could avoid having the IR LED on all the time and just check at intervals to see if the dial had moved. The real efficiency would come if I c...

Re: Smart Gas Meter - Battery Powered - DeepSleep

You can also use the internal pull-up resistors of the GPIO pins and set them from the pin bootstates tab as that's being loaded even before the ESP enters the loop. So then the pin to block the reset (using a logic port I assume?) can be set high. N.B. not all pins are usable for this, as some may...

Smart Gas Meter - Battery Powered - DeepSleep

In this project I used a Hall Effect sensor to detect the rotation of a magnet on my gas meter. Screen Shot 2020-10-18 at 11.35.41.png By using DeepSleep and connecting the Hall Effect Sensor to the Reset pin I was able to wake the ESP at each pulse. on System#Wake do If [Variable#DSAllowed]=0 Timer...

Re: Wake on Lan?

My project is a Google Nest interface - voice control. I've got a D1 Mini that is controlling my kitchen TV by IR and will also turn on my Squeezebox (LMS) music server and put the radio on by local http request. The music server spends most of its time in standby - hence the need for WOL. Events on...

Re: Wake on Lan?

Wow ThomasB - Thank you so much for this!

I just tried it and it woke my music server.

I need IRSend, so I'm using this version:
ESP_Easy_mega_20200913_minimal_IRext_ESP8266_4M1M

I'd be extremely grateful if you could combine the two please?

Thanks

Wake on Lan?

I would like to send WOL magic packet from ESP8266 to wake my music server. Is there a way to do this within Rules?

Thank you
