Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
Do you test this on ESP8266 or ESP32? ESP32 A reboot via the web interface should not clear the RTC, not even on ESP32. (at least not on the boards I tested here) It does, at least at the board I've tested. It's a DevKitC-clone from AliExpress, no peripherals connected, powered via USB. SW-version ...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
You can store the intended state (or switch off time in seconds of the day) in a dummy task. Those will be recovered at boot from RTC. But that does make the rules rather complex. Is there a different behavior in case it's a reset triggered by user? I just created a dummy device and put a value via...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
If I look at line 607ff of the file you've just shared it seems that the max. power you set is 19,5 dBm? I had another try with switching off "n" and had a look into the one ESP32 that's currently responding: It still shows an "n" connection on "info"-page, max-power-fl...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
Power cycle may also help, as that clears cached information. I did that several times, also after changing the SSID again. Nothing brought it back or started AP-mode. After changing the antennas on the ESP32 I see a strange behavior: As written before, the node from my desk showed similar rssi (ap...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
After deactivating "n" in the router, the ESP32 on my desk still connected and had no issues. The problematic one also connected as per status-page of my router, but was only there for few seconds. After again activating "n" in the router, there is no change, the problematic ESP3...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
As expected, the ESP32 reappeared last night and behaves normal at the moment. The ESP8266 is still not there, so I'll have to try changing the SSID-names to get it connected. Regarding b/g/n: I understand that the EPS32 currently does not support to deactivate "n", but if I deactivate &qu...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
Of course setting the 'weaker' AP to the SSID of the AP you cannot connect to will probably make the ESP available again. I guess this will work; I'll try tomorrow if it does not reappear during the night. But why does the node not switch to AP-mode as it does not get connected to the wifi? So mayb...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
Did an experiment with my wifi today. I use a mesh with same SSID for router and extender. Yesterday I noticed that some of the nodes are connected to the device with weaker rssi which I could not change with /setup-page. So I changed the SSID for the extender earlier this evening to be able to manu...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
Did the update at 5pm, lost connection right after 6pm and could not reconnect yet. If I connect directly to the node and do wifiscan, it shows my network with -61dBm, but does not reconnect. Tried DHCP and static IP, no change. Periodic scan is enabled, it shows up to 12 different wifis, none on th...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
Sorry, "runtime" means "load", for the devices I treat in my job we use the term "runtime" instead of "load". I took the build from 03.05.2021 as it is the last official release, I'll try the other one today in the evening. Regarding timeout setting of the con...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
I've updated to the official build from 03.05.2021 during lunch break. Unfortunately there still seem to be an issue with runtime increases that seem to be because of problems with the network connection: Every now and then I see that runtime increases (with new build from 20 to 70%, with build from...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
Tried to update to latest official release some days ago but could not get WiFi connected then any more with the ESP32. ESP8266 had no issues after the update. Eventually I got to run it on a ESP32 test-node 2 days ago, so I'll give it another try. Any improvements in the latest build from your link...

Re: Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
Currently I have no logic on the ESP but do it completely with FHEM. For the intended use of my ESP (watering) it is important that a relay is switched off properly. It does not matter a lot if it's switched off too early, but it should not be kept on much longer than planned. These relays are conne...

Max. duration of longpulse/PCFLongpulse
What is the maximum duration of the longpulse/PCFLongpulse command? As per commandref it's 999 seconds, but I have it currently running properly with 3600 seconds. (Did it before checking the commandref 8-) ) Now I'd like to switch on and off a filter pump which would need a runtime of 6h or 7h (up ...

Re: Publish changed value instantly to FHEM?
Thanks for your quick reply. Still I could not send the information to FHEM instantly when "monitor" detects a changed pin. Again I would have to define a dummy-device which then would send the information to FHEM based on the interval set for this dummy. So I do not understand how "m...

Publish changed value instantly to FHEM?
I want to send a changed value from a pulse-counter instantly to FHEM. In the pulse-counter (or any generic dummy-device that gets updated via rules) I have to set the "interval" to a value >0. Only in this interval the actual value will be sent to FHEM independet of it's changed or not. I...

Re: Sporadic runtime-increases, reason unknown
Thanks for your quick reply. I'm not sure if you got my point or I got your point... Blue and red are different nodes reporting to the same FHEM-instance. They have been started at a different point of time in the past, so their uptime is different. Nevertheless it seems they report their uptime con...

Sporadic runtime-increases, reason unknown
I have one ESP8266 (Wemos D1 Pro clone) and one ESP32 (DevKit-C clone) running, both within the same WLAN and both report to the same FHEM-instance. Both currently run on release 20210114, but I was also facing similar issues with previous releases. Unfortunately I see sporadic runtime-issues on the...

Re: Possible issue with ADS1115 plugin?
I will do so, but it would be surprisingly if that would really be a bug? The module would be in use by lots of other people I would expect? EDIT: Eventually I found the reason, there is no bug. I just did not consider the gain-values. As I use -4.096/+4.096V it's 125µV per bit. Multiplication by 12...

Re: Possible issue with ADS1115 plugin?
Unfortunately I've still an issue with the module. I now bought another one and connected it. A2C-scan says "PCF8591 ADS1115 LM75A" on address 0x48, but still I have to divide the raw-value by 8 to get the expected result. First I thought I got another ADS1015 although it was sold as ADS11...

Re: Connecting a Rain Gauge
About making it harder to switch state. You can try to keep the signal high when not counting a pulse, so it will be connected to GND when a pulse must be counted. For example by using a relatively strong pull-up and let the switch draw it to GND. That's what I've already tried, I've had pullups do...

Re: Connecting a Rain Gauge
Judging the GPIO pins you use, you seem to be using an ESP32. Yes, as written above. In detail it's a DevKitC (or at least it's labelled as a DevKitC). The support for pulse counter on ESP32 is still on my todo list as the CPU itself does have hardware support for it which we don't use yet. This wi...

Re: Connecting a Rain Gauge
I'm very sorry for digging out that old thread, but I could not find an answer somewhere else. I have bought a rain gauge that looks similar to the one in the first posting. It seems to work at a first glance, but after monitoring it for a while I see that the pulse counter rises now and then althou...

Re: Possible issue with ADS1115 plugin?
I looked through both datasheets and there is barely any difference between them. As enesbcs mentioned, maybe the ADS1015 is slower? I'm not sure if I got your point, but switching to 100kHz does not solve the problem. Here was a discussion on adding a slight delay between initiating the sampling a...

Re: Possible issue with ADS1115 plugin?
I'm not sure if the ADS1015 is fully compatible with the 1115 as it is a 12bit chip and the ADS1115 is a 16bit chip I'm afraid you are right. The ADS1115 plugin is not so good for the ADS1015 module. :( I've run it for all day, and saw some strange spikes, possibly overflowing... now i checked out ...
