The VCC pin is 5V, not 3.3V, this is a pitty :( the cause of it is that there is only a voltage regulator on the top esp12f board, the bottom board is just USB interface. The MLX90614 is a temperature sensor which can measure the temperature of the objects in its view, -70 to +380°C for object temperature.
