Re: Wemos D1 mini pro + DHT pro shield + EasyESP

I have the same setup and it works for me on 147RC8. I connected the sensor according to: http://lazyzero.de/elektronik/esp8266/d ... leep/start (Apart from the deep-sleep part).
On my task setting I have '%value% in both formulas. And yes, you do need a IDX/var, for it to work.

Re: The way forward

I have contact with Martinus and access to the main repository. Fortunately he will stay involved with the project, but currently doesn't have the time to do any real coding. So he'll be on the background (for now). I'll keep you posted. Hi, Your efforts are very appreciated, it would be so sad if ...

Re: ESP Easy next stable... (release candidates)

@Toffel969 Perhaps kicking an open door, but do you apply for coverage of your premises 1 single Wifi-AP, or multiple APs, or 1*AP+repeaters? Have the own experience that for a setup with physically wide-spread ESP8266s, 1 single AP/router is hardly sufficient to cover the premises. Only the 2 othe...

Re: WiFi-Settings in ESPEasy.ino

Maybe incompatibility between your SSID+PSK and ESP? Some symbols which ESP don't like? For me it works by: 1) Flash ESP8266 with ESPeasy 2) Power on 3) Connect iPad to ESP_0 (PSK='configesp') on IP: 192.168.4.1 4) I select my SSID in the list and enter PSK and select connect. 5) ESP8266 connects to...

Re: WiFi-Settings in ESPEasy.ino

Well I just tried it, and no it does not work off-the-shelf. According to the code, you must issue a 'reset' via serial for defaults to be loaded. I did not try that.

Re: WiFi-Settings in ESPEasy.ino

If I read the code correctly, then if the SSID is changed to something else than 'ssid' then the settings should be used, but I'm no expert in Arduino code :|

Personally I'd ruin ESPeasy if I was to contribute with coding, but I'd be happy to donate money if it could ensure the project's future.

Re: Finished: H801 RGBWW control with openhab2 and mqtt

Well, it seems like it's only the iOS app which seems to somehow bring H801 to it's knees. It happens if you 'float' your finger around on the color-picker.. Strange.

Re: Finished: H801 RGBWW control with openhab2 and mqtt

Hi, I've now flashed a H801 with 147RC8 + the latest P123_lights. I've got a RGB led strip connected. Using OH2+MQTT + the items/rules examples provided, it works fine for a while by using the color picker. After a while it suddenly it stop updating, and load goes to 100% on the H801. I can see that...

Control H801/PWM via MQTT?

Hi, I've been fiddling around with espeasy for some time now, and can now control simple devices like Sonoff from Openhab2 via MQTT. I've now flashed a cheap H801 LED driver with 147 RC8 and can control the RGB strip via http commands. But I'd like to choose the color via a color-picker on Openhab2 ...

Selecting 802.11 mode?

Hi, From what I can read the ESP8266 can operate in either 802.11b/g or n mode, all three modes using different amount of power when transmitting (from ~215mA for 802.11b down to ~135mA for 802.11n mode). At the same time running in 802.11b mode, has a negative impact on the overall 2.4GHz performan...

Re: Interest for esp8266 sensor hardware?

Of course :). I've tried to source the box i linked to, as it seems relatively small and has a clean design, but didn't find it :(. I'm no antenna designer, but I agree that the antenna performance for a lot of the ESP8266 based products are not great. I'm lucky enough to have 3 AP's in our home so ...

Re: Interest for esp8266 sensor hardware?

Hi, This sounds very interesting and I think you're on the right track. In terms of pricing for such devices, you can look at ITEAD and see how the "competitive landscape" is. However I'm sure German Engineering will add true CE marking as well as better quality in terms of look & feel...
