I'm not certain, but the use of "Switch" for both the task and the value may be causing problems.
You could try changing them to see if it helps.

A suggestion (but it's only that, as I've never played with negative numbers in ESPeasy!) - you might need to use a dummy task, and do the division (or multiplication) by -1 in a rule, putting the result into the dummy. Then a rule to send the (now positive) value out.

One thing I do notice is that the switchcmd is "Set Level" (uppercase S and L) in the one which works, whereas the first one has lowercase letters.
Might make a difference?

Coming back belatedly on this, I did find that there is a plugin named test.py in the plugins folder, which provides a (constant) value for testing purposes. I only noticed it later, but worth recording in case it helps someone else.

I'd advise checking what messages are being sent by your Espeasy unit, using a tool such as MQTTspy (or many others available). That will confirm whether messages are being sent, and also show you the exact format of the message so you can configure HA to match.
