Re: Wemos D1 Mini running Arduino can't flash with ESP Easy
I don't think it is a power or USB cable issue as I have been able to flash other Wemos D1 Mini with the same cables.
I did try configuring some of the GPIO to force it into flash mode.
I haven't tried the reset button. I will try this next.
Thanks for all your suggestions.

Wemos D1 Mini running Arduino can't flash with ESP Easy
I am fairly sure I have done this before. Taken a Wemos D1 Mini (clone V1.0) that is running a simple Arduino sketch and flashed it with ESP Easy. I think I am missing something very obvious here. I have tried three different firmware versions: mega-20180507 Dev 4096 mega-20180316 Dev 4096 v2.0-2018...

Re: Tipping bucket rain gauge -> Pulse counter
What temp/humidity sensor are you using? I have not been able to find one that will not corrode from the condensation. Even after coating the board the sensors just do not last more than a few months. What sort of enclosure are housing the sensors in? What sort of climate are your sensors in?...

Re: ESPEasy to control air conditioners / heat pumps
Also compiled with ESPEasy 2.0 with no problems (just few warnings) As in the stable version, not the dev Mega? Did you compile with Platform? Thanks for reporting your efforts. This thread activity had died off. I have only managed to compile the dev Mega with Platform. I haven't had a chance to c...

Why isn't Heatpump IR transmitter P115 included in Mega?
Not sure if this question should be here or on Github.
It looks like from this post that this plug in was included in the main line, but it doesn't appear to be there. Also it doesn't appear to be in the Mega Dev version.
I haven't had any response in the discussion thread on it.

Re: WISH Support for AC/DC Current Hall Sensor ACS712 in 5,20 an 30A
There doesn't need to be direct support for the ACS712 as all you need to do is to measure two voltages. However I found that the regulated 5VDC I was using was not even close to 5VDC and of course the ESP8266 only has one analog input. If you knew you had a really constant 5VDC input, then you coul...

Converting Wemo D1 Mini to 3.3V Only/Low Power
I have seen mentioned on this forum (can't find where now) and elsewhere that people have converted the Wemos D1 Mini to run only on 3.3V and reduced the power consumption by removing the 5V regulator and USB bridge. The idea being that the Wemos D1 mini is loaded the easy way with the ESP Easy firm...

INA219 Specifications quoted in Wiki & firmware
I noticed in the Wiki and also the firmware (GIT version: v2.0-20180227) the reference to 32V. Yet the data sheet only ever mentions 26V. Am I missing something? http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ina219.pdf Also in the "Devices" section it only shows an option of a maximum of 32V, 2A. I tho...

Re: ds1820 +5degrees
Then you're a lucky one. I've tested super cheap "bags" and found that not a single one was within the limits of +/- 0.5°C. Well, I expected it as these "bags" of 10...20 pieces were sold around 1 USD which is far too low for precalibrated sensors. I bought a few of these loose ...

Re: ds1820 +5degrees
If you bought a "100pcs for 3,43 $" package from AiExpress or similar you possibly got production waste parts or fakes. I have purchased more than 12 DS18b20 modules from several sellers on AliExpress. Admittedly these were all with a cable and in a stainless steel jacket, so they weren't...

Re: ds1820 +5degrees
Great care must be taken when using temperature sensors of any kind with the ESP8266. The most common issue is direct heating from the ESP8266 module. This is particularly the case with boards like the Wemos D1 mini and its shields. Mounting these shields in a vertical stack, even two boards apart w...

Re: Analog input - internal "Oversampling"
Oversampling typically means taking two or more samples and then determining the average or mean value of these.
I am just wondering how many samples and how quickly that are taken. I assume there must also be a processing time penalty involved.

Re: Wemos or NodeMCU
Size: Wemos is smaller, but if used with the PowerShield is larger. I don't understand this. How are you powering the NodeMCU? As far as I know they only offered 5VDC input. As you have indicated there are several versions of the Wemos mini D1, however there are even more than you have described. T...

Re: Tipping bucket rain gauge -> Pulse counter
I have been thinking about this circuit a bit more. I don't really see why there needs to be an opto isolator. Sure it provides a level of protection, but it is supposed to be providing protection from induced voltage/current from the magnet moving past the reed switch. Now I haven't put a oscillosc...

Task Settings - Delay vs Interval
Just started using ESP Easy and I was confused by the field name "delay" in the Task Settings section. After some reading of the wiki it became clear what was meant by the term "delay". I believe for reasons of clarity, the field name should be "Interval", rather than &...
