moisture sensor
I am looking for a cheap solution to measure moisture level on some of my precious plants, and also in the garde (so I can turn on the sprinklers). The Wiki mentions one supported device, but at $13 it is not cheap. On the website of one of our Chinese shops, I find this one: https://www.banggood.co...

ABC is "Automatic Base Calibration". That's what they teach at kindergarten... no wait... ;) For CO2 sensors the sensor needs to do some self calibration every now and then and the easiest way to do it is to keep track of the lowest reading in the past N days and consider that to be 400 p...

Puzzled by the readings from the GP2Y10 relative to SDS011. Anybody able to provide explanations on the 'operation' of the GP2Y10? since the sensor has a relatively narrow tunnel, you must somehow ensure a constant airflow. Otherwise external influences that change the flow will give you weird meas...

Re: Send timer value to Domoticz?
You would need to use a dummy variable that you pass the wanted timer in seconds. So essentially the timer is one second long an...

Do you see it coming into the Domoticz log at all? So many things could be wrong, you need to take it step by step.
First, check the controller settings. Are other values coming into Domoticz, or is this the only one?
Next, check the Domoticz log.
If you see something coming in there, check the idx.

Re: ESP unit - dead, but not quite!
Changed my approach.
In stead of putting the logic into each and every ESP unit, it is much easier to control it from Domoticz.
The ESP needs a small rule: an extremely simple event that contains the Reboot command. Then trigger that event from Domoticz LUA.

The correct syntax is:

So now all I need to do is set a safe boudary value to prevent running into the 49-days problem... This will be a good workaround, until the moment I decide to upgrade to a higher build level.
