Chamberlain garage door and gate opener

#1 Post by vedeem » 15 Nov 2016, 12:26

I have following setup from Chamberlain
- Motorlift 500 garagedoor openener
- HC250 Gate openener

I have two remotes 4333eml and 4335eml
They work on the 433,92MHz band

However RFlink does not see the signal at all when I press a button on these remotes

Is Chamberlain supported?
Shouldn't the RFlink at least see this signal, even when he can not do anything with it?

If nothing is received in debug mode, it is most likely that the sender is using a different kind of modulation which can not be received.
Obviously, in that case RFLink can not do anything with the RF signals...

However, in that case you could use the GPIO pins and connect wires between the assigned GPIO pins and the hardware buttons on a Chamberlain remote control to let RFLink simulate the key pressing and thus still control the garage door.
The only side effect is that you need to sacrifice a remote control for this.

Alternatively, when the Chamberlain is used as gate opener / fence opener you might be able to use some RF relay switches to override the Chamberlain setup and open the gates on both the Chamberlain and the alternative RF control.
I would however not use that on a garage door as it significantly lowers your security.

Thank you, for quick reply :) ,
I do not own a second remote to try and simulate with RF-link, so i have to find another solution if necessary ;)

not very easy

there are more than 3 pulse length
instead of 8 sequences, it repeat 4 times 2 sequences.

if x < 500:
v='s'
elif x < 700:
v='1'
elif x < 900:
v='2'
elif x < 1200:
v='3'
elif x < 4000:
v='l'

Indeed at first sight looks like rolling code with no real common data..
Pulses seem to be in pairs 840,930 = 1770 vs 360,1410 = 1770
