MySensor Gateway and node

Hi, i know RFLink can 'manage' MySensor signal from Node (only RX), but why it cannot be a REAL My Sensor GW ? To link correctly with some normal sensor like the Energy Pulse Meter i just built, its not enough... in my case the sensor probably need to register to a GW.
RFLink USB GW is based on a MEGA, probably it can manage a My sEnsor GW sketch...
