Pool temperature sensor

#1 Post by sqweez » 11 Jul 2017, 00:49

Hi !

I just got rflink gateway from nodo (5 days to send allready soldered device to france??? guys you rocks !)
and a pool temperature sensor very similar to this one :
https://www.amazon.fr/ASTrade-Capteur-T ... Y4AQ17FMA5
and this one:
https://www.amazon.fr/SODIAL-Thermometr ... B00SMCB912

Saddly it's not working with last (r46) firmware
I wanted to release a plugin for this hardware but don't found where to begin.

I found someone talking about rubicson protocol used with rfxcom (not sure with exact same hardware)
I saw that plugin_045.c talk about rubicson...
...that's it, don"t know what's the next step :D

How do you move from debug pulses to bytes/bits ? is there some tutorial ?

I know that the device can talk in 3 different chanels (I can choose chanel with integrated switch)
I saw 2 sets of pulses every time data are sent

I take some debug trace (temperature is getting warmer as I try to understand ) :

Thanks for any help :)

Hi sqweez! Did you manage to get it working all the way, or just to get debug info?

I also have one of these sensors, and I'm not getting any data from it. I'd be very happy if someone could point me in the right direction.

The beta firmware that I received in a PM didn't help. I have emailed debug logs to the devs.

After some additional debug examples, the wonderful RFlink dev has provided a firmware that works with my pool thermometer too.
Thank you so much!

Great to hear. Can you tell me what version it is or can you provide the link to that version?

Thanks
Xai

Edit:
I found it :) Works great ... Thank you so much!

Hi, I'm looking for a pool temperature sensor, do the ones from Amazon work well? I need real reviews because I don't want to waste money. I have a difficult financial situation because of the quarantine, so I have to save on everything. Moreover, recently neighbors advised me to install solar panels to save on electricity. We also have a fountain that can be transformed and it will work by a solar water pump. By the way, here you can find the review of the best solar powered water pumps that are used for fountains and ponds. If you have already had this experience, please share your feedback.
