milight disco mode in domoticz

#1 Post by darkside0506 » 19 May 2017, 23:54

So... I can enter commands directly to rflink to turn on disco mode etc (so I know rflink can do it) but can't work out how to get domoticz to provide me a button to give the same command. I can only change colours and switch on and off.
Any help greatly appreciated

In case anyone else stumbles across this post trying to solve this issue, I worked around it by creating a dummy selector switch which sent JSON commands to the actual switch/device Domoticz. This post is where I found the info:

http://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17120

e.g.: http://127.0.0.1:8080/json.htm?type=com ... ode&idx=59 which switches on Disco mode

It isn't perfect though as I can't set disco mode numbers using it - the JSON command that should do it doesn't seem to want to work - so if anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful

Cheers

What command do you use to turn on discomode in rflink?

a direct command to RFlink I use 10;MiLightv1;f746;01;0000;MODE#; where # is a number 1 to 8 and it allows me to select the various types of disco

From within domoticz I call <ipaddress>json.htm?type=command&param=discomode&idx=59 which switches on disco

According to the info though I should be able to call json.htm?type=command&param=discomodenum#&idx=59 where # is the disco mode number 1 to 8
