RFLink + Arduino UNO + Oregon THN132N

#1 Post by DerekC » 26 Jun 2019, 21:34

I am trying to run a simple RFLink test to capture weather information from Oregon THN132N.

In this project/post by Christoffer it seems to be possible, but after following those instructions I am not able to get the rf signal decoded...

Here is my setup:
  • Arduino UNO
  • Simple Chinese 433mhz receiver/transmitter

1. You are using an Arduino UNO, RFlink is only designed for the Arduino Mega.
2. You are using a cheap chinese RF receiver. See: http://www.rflink.nl/blog2/wiring to know what RF modules to use and also why not to use the module you have.
3. The code you are referring to is not my project and obviously I also do not provide support for it.

Get the correct hardware (as low as 5 euros via Aliexpress) and the latest RFLink firmware and all is working fine.

I have moderated your post to make sure others are not getting confused in what hardware is needed for RFLink.
