RFLink with Somfy Blinds : unbelievable issue...

#1 Post by Laetitia34 » 08 Jan 2021, 14:05

Hi,

My name is Laetitia, I live in France, and I'm a connected home enthusiast ;)

I have 22 somfy blinds (i know..) with 22 single remote, and 3 main remote.
I installed Jeedom on RaspberryPi 1 year ago, with a RFLink Nodo-shop device
All works fine until last november.

Since 2 months, I tried to fix it, but it's impossible !
I plug my RFlink onto my computer and launch RFLinkLoader

Look my first try, to my 1st blind which have this code : 2cf34d
1. Launch the pair mode on my Somfy remote (3sec hold PROG)
2. The blind up&down quickly
3. I send this command on RFLinkLoader :

Code: Select all

10;RTS;2CF35A;0412;2;PAIR;
20;18;OK;
4. The blind up&down quickly
5. I send this command on RFLinkLoader :

Code: Select all

10;RTS;2CF35A;0;DOWN;
20;19;OK;
6. But the blind do nothing...

Any idea ?

I don't have either of the Somfy blinds, nor a RFlink, so maybe it doesn't have to do with this issue at all.
My first idea when reading your post is that one of the remotes or some other device in the neighborhood running on the same frequency has a low battery and is now jamming the ether with packets that could be interpreted by the Somfy blinds as a pair request?

As I said, I don't have experience with Somfy, but I do have with CoCo/KaKu devices and those do experience some issues when a device in the neighborhood is continuously sending data on 433 MHz causing lots of issues.

Typically thermometers and weather stations with low battery may start to send lots and lots of bogus data.

Some blinds are working, others not...
When i PAIR a main remote, which is controlling several blinds, 80% of blinds are working with RFlink, 20% not

A hunch : I pair/unpair/pair a lot of time.. perhaps I use too many remote for the same blind

I will reset 3 blinds for test and come back ;)

Hi, afaik somfy rts motors have 10 slots to store connected remote controls. When these slots are used up a pairing seems to be successful but the new remote is not saved.
You have to completely factory reset the motor to clean all the slots.
Regards
