Increase range of FS1000A by increase voltage to 12V

Increase range of FS1000A transmitter by increase voltage to 12V?

I tried using a 12V power adaptor and also a DC-DC step up from 5V.
Not working.

I noticed that the Vcc of the transmitter is connected D15 of the Arduino Mega.
I have tried all sorts of ways like tying the grounds together, boosting the pin of D15 with DC-DC 12V but none of the methods are working.

Just how do you connect as 12V to the transmitter physically?
Does anyone has a digram?

Please help!!

D15 of the arduino is being used to switch the transmitter on when it is time to transmit.

If you want to supply 12v you are going to have to rework the circuit.

You could either break the connection to D15 entirely and rewire the VCC to the Vin. This would permanently power the FS1000A. I am not aware of whether this will cause issues (I don't think so)

To be more true to the original design, you could add a transistor between Vin and Vcc of the FS1000A and attach the base to D15 of the Arduino. Haved a read of this...

For testing, I have connected 12V directly to the VCC of the FS1000A and it is not working.
FS1000A was not destroyed as when I revert to original connection, it works again.

So, I am not really sure what am I doing wrong here.

Is it because of the ground?
Or, is my FS1000A not rated for higher voltage?

How clean the 12V needs to be? I am using a AC 12V adaptor.

Been on this for a week; hope to find a resolution soon.

Do you have a 9v battery? You could try using a slightly lower voltage. The 9v battery will also be pretty clean I would think.

All your gnd should be connected together. It might be helpful if you photo your circuit, or draw it out as a schematic? -

The other thing you could try is to add a capacitor between the vcc and gnd pins of the transmitter. Most AC - 12v adaptors are switch mode devices. This means they will create the lower voltage by "chopping up" a larger voltage. This can lead to ripples in the voltage. I people often add additional capacitance to RF receivers power lines to make them more stable. What test equipment do you have access to?

How do you know that it was not working with 12V?
Have you measured the RF-Output? Or had a look at the spectrum?

Perhaps 12V causes the oscillator to drift too far away from the center frequency of 433.92MHz?!

Maybe you know some ham-radio operator or have access to an UHF handheld to verify this...

Hmmm, yes, data, I have no idea as I do not have the right equipment to verify.

The only thing is, if directly driven from d15, my RF switches can be controlled and responding; when I do 12v, no responses.

I added capacitor and the result is still the same.

I tried to increase the cables length of the connections to bcc, gnd, data to relocate the transmitter to a better location and it also does not work
It seems like the transmitter is very sensitive

you could try 7 and 9 volts..

Still no luck. FS1000A seems to work only at 5V.

I found a old transmitter labelled 'KST-TX01' and it seems to have better range.

Anyone tried a 'HC-12 SI4463' before?
If so, better range?

Ok, do anyone know of a trusted source for FS100A?

Also, does anyone has experience with the HC-12 SI4463 before?
