Laipac Rlp434p receiver

#1 Post by py60 » 14 Jan 2017, 09:57

Hi,

I have an issue while trying to use Laipac rlp434p receiver with rflink.
As of now, I have not been able to get it to work.

The receiver and the arduino mega board work fine together when I use a home made Arduino sketch. (I can receive my Oregon sensors frames almost without any loss).

When I use a low cost 433 MHz receiver, the same board and the RFLink program (latest version), everything works fine expect the range is very short (can't receive data from remote sensors). It works fine with an Aurel receiver but the reception range is not as good as with Laipac receiver.

To summarize:
• Laipac receiver + my own program : OK (long range)
• Laipac receiver + RFlink program : KO
• Low cost receiver + RFLink or my own program : OK (short range)
Does anyone have a clue to get Laipac receiver work with RFLink ?
I would like to add additional sensors but I don't want to spend a lot of time decoding these other protocols.

Thanks,

Finally, I have found that RFLink configures a pullup resistor on the input.
The fan out of the Laipac receiver cannot deal with this pullup.
Thanks to an old release of RFLink source code (v33), I have been able to get it working by removing a single instruction.

Unfortunately, oregon decoder doesn't work... (the other protocol I use, is OK).
I have to understand why, eventually replace part of the code with mine.

There will be an option for this in the next firmware..

Nice to know!
When is expected this new release ?

BTW, I managed to get RFLink to work using an Aduino Nano as a signal adapter :)
