RFLink - Simple Arduino sensor

#1 Post by cmbech » 27 Jan 2018, 14:45

Hi,
I would like to build some simple Arduino based 433MHz sensors with wired digital inputs and connect them to RFLink.
There are many examples of simple transmitter/receiver pairs, but I'll need some library that is capable of transmitting in a protocol that is recognized by RFLink.
Any idea's of how that can be done?

Hi,
Check out:
https://github.com/pyrou/X10RF-Arduino
and
https://sandervandevelde.wordpress.com/ ... d-arduino/

http://www.borngeek.net/Projects/attiny85-pir-sensor

What I understand Rflink can recive X10rf protocol. I have not tried this myself but it is on my to do list.

I've tried the first of those and it works well. Take a look also to this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oq-hN-RJ2sA for a better result.

Also I wanted to make a connection in the other way, build with Arduino a receiver of command (simple on off) thrown with domoticz thorough RFLink but I didn't find anything.
Could you give any hint on how can I make it?

Thanks to parbar for the tip on X10. I tried it and it works, but it doesn't look so stable. I am sending e.g. 4 different commands in a row, but frequently not all of them are received in Domoticz - even on short distances.

In the meanwhile, I also found another library from Randy Simons here:
https://bitbucket.org/fuzzillogic/433mh ... /wiki/Home
which I was directed to from this blog:
http://www.thice.nl/convert-cheap-433mh ... convertor/

This library offers several different device types and seems to work stable. Probably I will use it to emulate Kaku devices.

It also includes receivers, so robigit, you might find that useful also. Didn't try myself as I don't have a good receiver to play with right now.
