RFID switch

#1 Post by d3rax » 05 Feb 2018, 20:06

Hi,

I made a rfid switch using a PN532 nfc rfid module and a NodeMCU ESP8266 Breakout Board and it works very well.
When I hold a rfid tag to the reader, the blue led on the NodeMCU turns on and a virtual switch in Domoticz turn on, which activates my alarm. Holding the rfid tag again to the reader turns the led on the nodeMCU off and deactivates the alarm in Domoticz.

So far everything works as I would like.

I now want to add a second RFID switch because I have 2 entrances to my home. I would like to somehow link these two RFID switches together. For example:
1. I activate the alarm by holding the tag to RFID switch 1 at the front door.
2. The light on RFID switch 1 turns on (indicating the alarm is activated)
3. The light on RFID switch 2 turns on (indicating the alarm is activated)
4. I deactivate the alarm by holding the tag to RFID switch 2 at the garage.
5. The light on RFID switch 1 turns off (indicating the alarm is deactivated)
6. The light on RFID switch 2 turns off (indicating the alarm is deactivated)

I would like to know if this is possible? And how I can achieve this? Is it possible to change the state of a switch from a espeasy sensor with a other espeasy sensor?

Thanks for any tips and suggestions! I think the ESP Easy projects are awesome :)

Best regards,

Thanks! After I have received the parts for my second
rfid switch I’m going to try it.
