By chance, I fall into this forum after looking for a better controller that not are dependent to a gateway like Moteino to my winter / autumn projects.
As I understand ESP8266 has a lot of potential and there are lots of variations, so it's hard to know what to choose.
I made a little sketch of how I thought. And maby with your inputs i can choose a controller that fits me by the best.
Spec:
Measure temperature, humidity, send a email or mqtt pub to refill the water tank, for example
And i think Easy ESP fw is the right choose but is it easy to add lite more custom things to it?
