Atlas Scientific pH + EC Sensor Connectivity + Management

#1 Post by ago2go » 25 Sep 2018, 02:38

Hi,

Thank you for reading. I am a total noob with electronics and programming but willing to learn.

Here is the hardware list:
rPi 3 running Raspbian + Mosquitto + NodeRed
ESP8266-12E NodeMCU
BME280
BH1750
EZO pH Circuit + BNC Connector + Probe
EZO EC Circuit + BNC Connector + Probe
DS18B20 - Waterproof (plugged on D4)

I am currently running BME280 + DS18B20 and feeding them to rPi via MQTT and displaying them on a dashboard on NoderRed like a charm.

1) I have done some research and I understood that through I2C I can connect BME280, BH1750, EZO pH Circuit and EZO EC Circuit in series and that ESP8266 can distinguish them thanks to their address.
Am I right?

2) Has anyone used EZO pH Circuit + BNC Connector + Probe and EZO EC Circuit + BNC Connector + Probe with ESPEasy?
If so, how?

Thank you in advance for your help.

As long as each device has a unique I2C address then ESPEasy can read each device.
Problem with your setup is I do not believe there is currently any support for the Atlas Scientific devices you mentioned.
There needs to be a "plugin" to support the devices. As of now I do not believe there are.

You could add a feature request for them and the best place for that would be on GitHub.
I encourage you to do that as those look like pretty nice sensors.
