Help switching time too short

#1 Post by beeckmanso » 05 Jan 2019, 11:37

Hello World,

I use an ESP-01 with mega-20181220.

I have two switch between GND and GPIOs directly connected without other component resistor or capacitor
One Doorbell between GND and GPIO 0
One Door Contact between GND and GPIO 2

The Door Contact don't work every time, in case of the door is too quickly opened. I don't receive anything with MQTT.

Is it possible to correct this by computer code ?
Or do I have to correct this electronically ?

Thanks in advance

Olivier

It's hard to tell if it's a mechanical issue or if the signal is too short. Could you measure the signal? Denounce time would maybe be possible to use, if you lower this value, you could even try the pulse counter?
