OLED display controlled via MQTT

#1 Post by jasiek83 » 26 Apr 2020, 21:59

Hey,

I'm putting together a power meter that counts pulses. Those are going to get published to MQTT, to which I'll have hooked up another process which reads them, computes some aggregations and then outputs that to the display connected to the ESPEasy device. Question is - is it possible to drive the OLED display via the same channel (MQTT), or do I need to use the HTTP API?

Thanks,
J

You can use the same commands over MQTT. Post to the <unit name>/cmd topic (if you haven't changed the subscription topic).
